  1. Steve, Julien, I know this is an old thread, but I'm tussling with the Seafox at the mo, and I have to say, both your examples certainly give something to aspire, well done. I have a couple of questions though: 1. For both/either of you; where did you attach the inboard rigging to, the 'V' shaped ones? Was it in the centre of the chord of the wing roots, i.e. drill a hole, or to the trailing egdes of the wing roots? 2. For Julien; I used to have links to the thread of your build on another site(?), but it, and indeed the site, appear to have have disappeared. It maybe a big ask but any cha
  2. I'll try your second option first and then see how brave I feel! Cheers
  3. Triarius, Many thanks for your advice. As soon as I read about incompatibility something clicked, (it's a pity it didn't earlier). When I got home tonight I checked the varnish and it is indeed for acrylic paints, not the enamel I've been using! I am a dullard; it was one of those things where you just can't figure something out and all the while it's staring you in the face. In my defence my other 2 rattle cans of varnish, matt and satin, are correct and were bought at the same time. I guess I just assumed that as they were all the same area of the shelf, they were all the same type? It
  4. Hello all, I'm a recently returned modeller and on my first build. Just got to the stage of glossing the kit prior to decalling and 'pants!' (or words to that effect), some areas of the paint work appear to have crinkled/puckered. As i say not all areas are effected; one wings underside is fine, the other not; most of the fuselage has no issues but the tailplane looks a bit poor. Basically there does seem to be any pattern to it. Not sure though whether it's the paint or the new varnish- has anyone come across this before and if so is there a fix? I've been using brushed on Humbrol enamels
