  1. I'll give it a try on some sheet styrene, thanks for the advice!
  2. That is remarkable...looks a lot like the real thing! I may have to give it a try on my current BUFF build. Wish I had more space to display these things...would turn my kitchen table into the ramp at Barksdale
  3. Not sure how tech savvy you may be, but a friend of mine in the UK uses this work-around to watch Hulu and listen to Pandora (streaming radio), might be worth checking out: http://www.downloadsquad.com/2008/01/07/wa...hotspot-shield/
  4. If you find a way that works well, please pass it on...I've been scratching my head about that one for a while now.
  5. Took me a while to think of the title... It's an awful movie, but there are some VERY nice in flight scenes with a SU-30? 34? (including the famous ejection seat/flying with no canopy pic) - Mirror Wars: Reflection One Can be watched free here: http://www.hulu.com/mirror-wars-reflection-one
  6. Hello all, Just got a package from Lucky Model today, ordered Skunk Models' 1/48th scale US/NATO Modern Weapons set (I've got several 15s, 16s, and 18s in the stash) and thought I'd post a few pics and a little review in case anyone is thinking about ordering the set. Initially: VERY full box, wouldn't take much pressure to break something if weight was applied to it, but nice pics and info all around, with paint/decal reference on the back. Included in the kit: 4x AGM-154 JSOW 4x AGM-84D Harpoon 4x AGM-84E SLAM (Standoff Land Attack Missile) 4x AGM-84H SLAM-er (Expanded Re
  7. PM sent with the link I bought my copy from
  8. Originally I was going to take a run at my Airfix Saab Viggen in 72nd scale, but after test-fitting and mocking up quite a bit of it, I think it's more of a project than I am looking for right now. Instead, going to work on my Hasegawa Ju88A-4. Will post in progress pics when I can!
  9. Very nice, first Super Guppy I've seen in NASA colors, thanks for the pics!
  10. How about... Flight of the Intruder (Horrible acting, but some nice A-6 shots) Speed & Angels (Independent film about NAVAIR/Tomcat training, STUNNING footage) Can watch Speed & Angels free online here: http://www.hulu.com/watch/49206/speed-and-angels The Red Baron (smaller release film, some nice WWI recreations)
  11. Just came across the link to this video: http://diydrones.com/profiles/blog/show?id...BlogPost:163944 After seeing this, kinda makes you wonder what the folks at DARPA are up to, eh? :)
  12. Have to add "Strategic Air Command" with Jimmy Stewart...finally out on dvd, btw.
  13. Ahh, MUCH better, thankya Gregg.
  14. Holmes, Thanks, I looked at that thread a few days ago, I was actually wanting to figure out how to upload something for my "personal photo" - The thumbnail size pic under my/your/anyone's name on the left side of the screen when a post is made. There doesn't appear to be a place to link a pic hosted elsewhere, only to upload a 150x150, 100kb limit jpeg. Thanks again for the link, was helpful, just didn't quite answer what I was looking for.
  15. Thanks for the info & pics, I appreciate it. Wasn't sure of all the differences between the A & E, but in comparing sprues to the pics provided, it looks like more work than I care to tackle, when I could just buy the E kit. Thanks again!

    USMC LVTP-7

Very nice! Looking forward to seeing it complete! Who knows, may even give me inspiration to start on the Hobby Boss AAVP-7A1 kit I got this week...would make a nice break from building jets. Thanks for the pics, keep up the good work.
  17. Hey hey, Just got my Squadron order, popped the top off HB's A-7A kit and noticed that it looks like it's got all the correct parts to make an E model...anyone know for sure on this?
  18. Very cool. Got an XB-70 in the stash, staring at me. I've got a few pieces of birds... I really should do something with them, instead of just hauling them all over the country.
  19. Thanks, looking forward to reviewing the update set for the folks here. Have you thought about doing some modern Barksdale AFB Decals? Given the interest in making HSABs and other detail sets, a good quality set of current decals for the majority of the active BUFF fleet (20th, 96th, 11th Bomb Squadron) would probably make good business sense. The set that FoxOne made is VERY hard to find.
  20. Thanks Frank, Hoping the "Evil Empire" earns yet another win. But I have to say, it's damned hard not to root for Aston Martin, their LMP cars are beautiful in those Gulf colors.
  21. Was looking for the proper way to add a personal photo also...any advice/instructions would be greatly appreciated.
  22. Hello folks, Just got 1ea of Hobby Boss' Land-Wasser-Schlepper "Early Production" and "Medium Production" kits, since they're on sale at Squadron this month, and I always thought they looked kinda cool. Was just curious if anyone wanted pics/review of these two kits, or HB's 35th scale AAVP-7A1. Let me know and I'll go through, take some pics, and my two cents on these kits. They are, in my opinion, an excellent buy this month.
  23. I was thinking about making an early-ish B, possibly an Edwards/AFFTC jet, just for something big/different.
