thank you Gene!

It was right after landing. I have some shots of them taxiing out for take off, and raising the brake to "wave". They don't always have the landing lights on when landing, even during the day.

or to give a friendly wave

Thanks Kursad, look forward to it

Hi Kursad - any update on the release of this sheet? I would really like to do the VMFAT-101 jet thanks

as Jake already answered, here's a pic

you're welcome Mike. These were taken with a Nikon D7000, so the camera has a lot to do with the ISO and how grainy it may look.
-
Thanks a lot Mike. For the early evening shots, ISO was in the 800-1000 range. For the darker ones, it was 1600-2000

thanks for looking cheers Ken

Sad to report....Uncle Rick Chin has passed away
Ken Middleton replied to Colin K's topic in General Discussion
very sorry to hear this - I met Rick on my first and only trip to Maple Flag in 2004. Had a few beers with him and did some photography as well. RIP -
I looked to see if I had any shots of tanks not mounted to the pylon, but I don't. I found this though ;-)

thanks Jackman

Thanks lot Gary, yes these were from outside, though I did have a visit with the "OT" 422nd TES F-15C division. The overseas Eagles were the Saudis and the UAE had F-16Es there, all off limits. I didn't go on the media visit but heard all the "OT", F-35 and other stuff that was off limits. I have not heard of the restrictions on the back end of the Eagle, maybe they are adding something to the Strikes? Ken

very nice shots Gary! It will be a shame if the 493rd does go away

Great work, looks very nice! I also applaud you for applying all the stencils and getting the correct wheels. I have always liked those markings, too.
-
Steve, that's great work on the HUD!
-
thanks Jake Actually, so far, nothing to recommend improving. Decals look good and instructions were fine. Granted I have not really looked at the stencil placement guide yet in detail, but once I do I will give any suggestions. A nice feature are the seat decals

LOL, thanks Mike, I started on it back in November. I had plans to originally use F-16 decals and home made ones one I saw the billboard jet markings. So it has been in the works for a while, and luckily Jake released the decals saving me lots of work ;-)
-
amazing work Seb! Nice subtle grey weathering - well done!

Yes, just a slight bit which is perfectly fine with me, gives some wiggle room for adjusting. Went on very well, separated from the backing in mere seconds using warm water. Excellent decals Jake.
