Does anyone know when VMR-1 at JRB Fort Worth, TX will receive Boeing C-40A Clipper transports? According to Wikipedia entry on the Being C-40 page: In the 2018 Marine Aviation Plan, the U.S. Marine Corps indicated that it intended to acquire two C-40A aircraft for airlift missions, replacing its Skytrain fleet.[8] On 4 December 2018 an online notice was posted by the Marines seeking a supplier of C-40s to be delivered in 2020.[2] The USMC Skytrains were retired in 2017 and to prepare for the transition to new aircraft, personnel from Marine Transport Squadron One were assigned to

Kursad, Any news on this one? I have two 1/144 B-52Ds in the early stages of production, but could set them aside for a G and couple of Hs if you release this in in 1/144 scale. K/r, Dutch

Yes! Very nice! I like it! These new Revell airliner kits seem to go together really well.

Nick, It may be a whole lot easier to buy the original Zvezda C-130H kit and just swap the engines between the two kits; leaving you with a standard C-130J and a stretched C-130H-30 / L-100-30. I believe that Caracal is working on a set of Blue Angels C-130J decals for the new scheme. HTH, Dutch

Kursad, How soon after you release the 1/72 EC/RC-135 sheet do expect to be abe to scale it down to 1/144 scale? Just curious. I have several EC/RC/WC variants without decals. K/r, Dutch

Jakub, Any of the original Boeing built C-135 variants with TF-33s did not have thrust reversers. The KC-135Es and some EC-135/NKC-135s recieving ex-civil 707 TF-33s (JT3Ds) all had thrust reversers. HTH, K/r, Dutch

For those wanting to build a B-47A/B, a rare A Escala AS70809 1/72 B-47A/B Stratojet conversion is up for bid on ebay. I have no affiliation with ebay or the seller. Caveat Emptor, as always.
