  1. FWIW, I'll stick with the Academy kit, especially the better weapons and u/c detail, and just remove 5mm from the extended tail, if that is all that it takes for accuracy sake. (It does look a little long on the sprue shot). Still waiting for mine to arrive.
  2. David, I checked my kit and it is a bagged kit without decals. So, I may be in the same boat as you, except I may make it a "What if" scheme. I'm thinking 191st FIS, Michigan ANG (ala F-4C) or 48th FIS (ala F-15A). Sorry, I can't help. K/r, Dutch
  3. Arnaud, I have already started on a SG and have made or not made some upgrades yet. Your several parts list individual prices and then a complete set price. Are you selling parts individually? In that case I may be interested in just picking up the pieces I need to complete my kit. BTW, your parts look very nice! K/r, Dutch
  4. Tom, I feel your frustration about early SAC bands and the UNITED STATED AIR FORCE vs U.S. AIR FORCE lettering on bombers in the 1950s. I am not sure which style band was when. The caption on the left phot is dated 1957 and the caption on the right says 1956, so your theory as to which is earlier may not be correct. Here's a photo of a 509th BW(M) B-47E at Pease AFB circa 1960. Note the SAC band has lots of stars. Not sure when they were finally standardized. K/r, Dutch
  5. Scott, You did a beautiful job on the archaic ex-Hawk T-33 build. You accurately report it's strengths (?)and weaknesses, and note that it still represents a T-33. And you did a beautiful job painting and applying the Caracal decals. Two thumbs up! 😎 Kind regrds, Dutch
  6. Well, still waiting for the kits to arrive. 😗
  7. Andy, Beautiful work! The Vulcan is just classically beautiful, and you have done it justice with your detailing, workmanship, painting and decaling skill. Congratulations! K/r, Dutch
  8. David, Are you looking for the white "YF-22" and r/w/b tail band decals? Let me check. I have the KitTech kit. K/r, Dutch
  9. I received a PM from ARCer JeffMass on 31 Mar saying to contact Hope Moore via email [hopemoore01@hotmail.com] for my recently posted decal want on ARC Forum. When I sent an email to Mr. Moore, he asked $30 plus shipping for this 30+ year old Microscale decal. I declined. He responded by asking how much I would be willing to pay. When I asked for a photo of the decal to verify condition, he said sure, but never responded. This all happened last week, 31 Mar - 2 April. No harm, no foul, but just thought I would let people know the status of the want and to beware Jeff Mass. He has been po

No harm, no foul, but just thought I would add ammo to the belt. I did find the decal for less than $10 on ebay
  11. AFM, Just gorgeous work on the CF-188s here! I need to get me some of those "production jigs" to hold my models when I work. This has been wonderful watching, learning and a few "Aha!" moments for me. Kind regards, Dutch
  12. Here is a link to photos by Rick Morgan and his brother Mark. There are some real beauties in there.
  13. I have suggested this to Kursad awhile ago, but I will double tap aircal62's suggestion of reducing the three current 1/72 C-54 sheets to 1/144. The DC-6/C-118 would require some new artwork, but the color schemes are pretty generic. The Minicraft kits are reasonably accurate, build up well, and are so cheap that the inspiration of one of your sheets may boost sales for decal and kit. My $.02! K/r, Dutch
  14. Ed & Cameron, Very good info indeed! I need to make some molds and start casting. Kind regards, Dutch
  15. May I suggest the Italeri #129 B-25H/J kit, or perhaps the Hasegawa B-25J kit as a 1/72 template?
  16. TB-25K radar trainers with the ANG F-89 & F-94 FIS units. My personal favorite would be 133rd FIS, NH ANG, but as I have no photo as yet, I would settle for the 101st FIS, MASS ANG.
  17. Kursad, Any hints on the May releases?
  18. Craig, Your options are: Hasegawa 1/72 F-4D Phantom II (04105/KA5) kit decals; Caracal CD72023 Air National Guard F-4C/D (sold out at Caracal , but check SprueBros or Hannants) Superscale 72-468 F-4C/D Phantoms ANG (check ebay or resalers) K/r, Dutch
  19. Beautiful work on the Globemaster III, and beautiful presentation on the plaque. Judging from the grateful recipients of my model plaques of late, he will absolutely love and cherish it! Make sure you give him the storage box with sheet styrofoam top & bottom with kabob skewers between the two layers to hold everything in place. Makes transportation a lot easier. Kind regards, Dutch
