I’ve reached out to MC several times over the last few weeks with zero replies. So it seems my source has dried up.

Hey Dutch, check these pics out. I think this might be what MC saw when they drew the CAD for the tanks. Check out that dip in the upper tank surface just about fwd-mid pylon.

Interesting take, thanks for the input..... While I wouldn’t label Paul a huge MC Buff fanboy, I would however say he’s a good modeler and apparently climbed the modeling Mt. Everest, by your estimation and achieved very good results with his MC build.

Great news Kursad!! I’m down for a couple sheets ‘fo sho’!! 379 has been covered but not these tail numbers, not sure about 416.

Last I checked MC were to start shipping the sets last weekend.

Here’s one more, you can just barely make out the black triangle with gray outline. Kursad, you’ve probably already seen photo on dstorm.eu showing the cockpit area after harvesting the nose art. So these ‘K’ would obviously be inline with that same timeframe.

The photo listed this as 58-0249 which arrived AMARC September 1991

Did Buff Master take over the DB molds or are his original?

Paul , is it the diameter of the tanks that’s off or is it length which could be rectified by cutting out a section? As for antennas, I’ve approached MC about the antenna issue and even had another ARC member with detailed information offer his assistance. So far, no joy. The motivation on MC’s part to fix the issues may have run it’s course, at least until the D retooling begins.

One fellow on the 97th BW FB page thinks he may have black and white pics of ‘Miss Piggy’ during the actual 1980 ‘Giant Strike V’ bomb comp but he’s not sure if they show the nose art. He’s looking though.

Update: MC plans to start shipping G correction sets this weekend. Also, Paul your build looks awesome, can’t wait to see the article!

As of this morning MC is working on the G correction set packaging. He said it caused a delay but wouldn’t elaborate. I completely understand the frustration but at least we’re headed in the right direction....

Might there be an “in progress” thread in our future.........?

Thanks for sharing this Li @modelcollect. The bottom two tails are obviously the H tail and the revised G tail but the top two are new. The early G is being released currently and the early H is slated for release soon thereafter. Both will be released without weapons but weapons sets will be offered at a later date.
