Two sheets are gone, but plenty more. Like I said above, prices are neogotiable. Make an offer, too many in the list to lower each price. Want a package? Let me know! Chappie

Hello everyone, Years and years ago a fellow ARCer offered to buy the 1/48th scale YA-7F model I had in my collection. At the time I was heavy into modeling and did not want to let it go, but now I'm willing to sell it. I don't remember the name of the company that made the conversion kit, but it was built using a Hasegawa A-7D. I finished the kit 7-10 years ago and it is not top shelf, but it is a good Two Foot Model. If that ARCer is still on the Boards, send me a PM and we'll talk. If anyone else is interested send me an email and I'll send a couple photos since I cannot post photos h

I have not been on the Boards lately as I have pretty much gotten out of the hobby. Is Rodney Williams still on the boards? I'd like to get in touch with him. Chappie

Edited the post, wanted to bring it back to the top. Chappie -
I attempted to sell a majority of my stash a year or so ago with limited success. I'm trying again here. The last time I was inundated with requests for my list via PM. So, this time please send requests directly to my e-mail, it will be much easier for me to repsond as I do not get on ARC as often as I used to. Payment? Simple- checks are the nest for me as I do not have a PayPal account. Cheers, Chappie E-mail- flyboychappie@msn.com EDIT: Appox 30 kits from Hasegawa, Revell, Monogram, Revell-Monogram, Academy, and Tamiya. Over 200 decals sheets from Aeromaster, Afterfburner, Ast

48th Hasegawa F-16D, Afterburner Decals

Negative! I think they tried for the whole heritage thing because our linage goes back to the 352nd FG. But I said the nose should be blue, not the tail! Chappie -

Great job on 509, Ken! She is still at Andrews, the last Block 30 from the original batch we picked up from Ramstein in 1993. Today, she wears a gawd-awful blue tail... BTW- 509 is the jet I rode to Mach 1.22 on May 31, 2005. What a ride! Chappie -
Thanks Brian! Good trading with you! Cheers, Chappie

Looks like work is slowly continuing on this kit. I've got a Special Hobby X-15 waiting in the stash to hang under this monster. Darius- Have not "talked" in a while. I've gotten away from modeling a bit and doing more warbird writing and photography. I've been slowly donating and selling a good part of my kit and decals stash. How've you been?! Cheers, Chappie

No, not e-bay but I did check several hobby sites and found alot of Corsair sheets that I could piece together. Thanks Joe. Chappie

Hey Joe. It's been a long time. The tail code if F and there are severl side numbers he flew on his 20 missions. Two of them are 402 and 412 (BuNo 97359). They also carried some markings on the wings, I'll have to look in his cruise book. Thanks Joe.

I've met a retired Navy pilot who flew F4U-4s off the Boxer and Lake Champlain in the closing month of the Korean War. He was with VF-44. I have an old Monogram -4 kit I'd like to build for him, I'm trying to locate decals for this squadron, but have been unsuccessful. Do any decals exsist for this squadron in the aftermarket? Custom decals? Chappie

The verical stabilizers look similar to the proposed Silent Eagle. Or was that the Stealth Eagle? Chappie

Thanks for the comments Paul. Yes, I exchanged two e-mails for Cardenas. Way cool. Chappie

Wow, you ain't kidding! Her rockets aren't the only thing that's well built!!! Chappie

OH man this is fantastic!! I've been wanting to build some modern day TF-51 Mustangs lately like DF*X, Crazy Horse, Mad Max, etc. This is great!! Chappie

Paul, Wow, I can't wait to see the progress on this build! I have dream builds of 1/48th mothership/research plane model to build- I've already done the B-29/X-1 and the B-50/X-2 is about 60% complete, and I'm waiting for the day that Sanger releases their 48th B-52 so I can do the NB-52/X-15 combo. since I'll probably never have the skills to scratchbuild a 48th 747 and Space Shuttle, I may try this build myself. Where can I get the 72nd scale STS? Chappie

If I can make this happen I just planned on using various kit and aftermarket Thunderbrd sheets. Chappie

:) Yeah, your right about that! It was worth a shot! I not very good at masking, cause I'm guessing that would be the best way. My thoughts on markings are different from what is in the painting. First the Mustangs would have standard sized national insignias, USAF titles on upper right and lower left wings, and U.S. AIR FORCE on the fuselage sides. The nose scallops would be modest like on the F-84Gs, Air Training Command shield on the left side of the nose just ahead of the windscreen, Thunderbird shield in same location on the right side, the tail surfaces would have the full Starduste

Long ago there was a P-51 painted in the colors of the Thunderbirds, it was owned by the late Lefty Gardner IIRC. I once saw a painting called "1947 Thunderbirds" depicting what the team would have looked like if they had been formed in 1947 rather than 1953. I would like to build an in-flight display of four Thunderbird P-51s. Do decals exist for the Thunderbird P-51? Chappie
