  1. Glad to see you can still get that kit. I grabbed two a couple years ago, one will be built as an M-12/D-21 (Eagles Talon vac kit) and the other as the 2 seat Titanium Goose. Now if we can get some decals for these things...................... Chappie
  2. Oh yeah, I've been waiting for that kit for about 2 years. I'm going to get one of those whenever it gets released, build it as an NB-52B and put Special Hobby's X-15A-2 under the wing!! I've pretty much been a 1/48th guy since I was a kid, expect for a move to 1/72 in the 80s, I guess growing up in the 70s I was always building the Monogram WWII bombers and fighters. I used to love read and re-read the diorama sheets that came in the bomber kits....still do!! Remember the SBD with the retractable gear and dropping bomb? Forever Forty-Eighth!! Chappie
  3. What is the status on this D21? I have the vac kit from Wings, but have not started it yet. Never done any vac kits before, but I have done several resin. I'd like to have this kit as a back-up in case I screw the pooch on the vac D21. I'll be mounting my drone on a Testors SR-71 converted to an A-12 using the Kiwi conversion kit. Chappie
  4. How's this kit coming along? Any decals? Have they been mated together? Hopefully they'll follow-up this kit up with WK@ and SS2. Hell, I'd love to see a whole line of Rutan models- other than the Vari-Eze variants my favorite Rutan airplanes were/are Grizzly and Boomerang. Chappie
  5. Looking pretty good. Great work on the antennas! Chappie
  6. I'm glad to see this set coming along, I have the NASA F-8C decals from Muroc. Chappie
  7. No need for a new kit, but like everyone has said we need decals! Especially, for the early and later unusual variants. Oh, firebombers too. Chappie
  8. Thanks, I'm familiar with the Brian Lockett books. It was his Wingtip Coupling books that prompted to look for the TipTow model again. I've also been looking around for a 1/48th Culver model to pair up with a Monogram C-47, but I think the Culver only exists in 72nd. Adam- I'd like to do the TOMTOM RB-36 was well and a FICON B-36. Chappie
  9. Sometime ago I saw an article about a 1/48th scale B-29 (w/ two F-84s) TipTow model built by a modeler named Bruce Craig. After buying a book on Wing Tip Coupling, I'd liek to build a similar model. Does anyone know whereI can find this article or where I can contact Mr Craig? Chappie
  10. Any progress during Christmas weekend? Chappie

  13. Sandy, Since your a Marine, I'll simply quote the great Gunnery Sargeant Hartman........"OUT-F**KING-STANDING!!!!!" Chappie
  14. It's looking good so far. I'll be very interested in how you tackle the wing glove area. Will you be posing the aircraft with the wings forward? Chappie
  15. Can't wait to follow this build, I've wanted to build my 11 year old B-1B as the B-1A prototype for a long, long time. Mind if I take notes? Chappie
  16. Can anyone tell me what kits or aftermarket decal sheets are available of Brooks' 31FG Mustang? I want to build the warbird that has recently flown with the Horsemen Aerobatic Team. Chappie
  17. Fantastic! Well done! I love it!!! Chappie
  18. Wow! I've been a strict 48th scaler, but I'm breaking that trend for this kit!! I love this, when and where can I get this kit when it is released? Chappie
  19. Wow, Darius. A wonderful day is right!!!! Goregeous stuff!! Chappie
  20. There is a modeler, Fotios Roche (spelling?) on Hyperscale who built several Collect-Aire kits. Maybe he built this kit as well. The only CA kit I've completed is the X-2. Chappie
  21. I have a B-58 book in my collection, it may be the Hustler Datagraph or Aerogrpah. In the back I believe the author spoke to the individual who saw the SEA B-58 in the hanger. I can't remember the location though. I'll have to look it up. Chappie
  22. Great looking bipe, Ian! Awesome!!! I've been eyeing that kit for a while now. What's next? A Jungmeister in the markings of Ernst Kessler's airplane from the Great Waldo Pepper? Chappie
  23. I'll send the list to all the new requests over the next day or two, but as I said in my original post I'd prefer to deal with folks in the U.S., simply because I'm low tech and don't want to get involved in PayPal. Chappie
  24. Everything is still available except one Academy Su-27 and the Fox one USMC sheet. Everything else is available.....prices negoitable. Chappie
