  1. Many thanks for the info ! The B-8M was my "plan B" but as the conflict lasted until 1989 I thought the B-13 might be an option. Thanks again
  2. Might be pushing my luck Marlin, this is your WIP not mine. Some little tips though that might make the build a bit easier. When you attach the wing to the fuselage you'll find that the gap between the flap and the fuselage is too wide (in my view anyway). Best way to "solve" this is to hold the wing to the fuselage and insert a piece of plasticard between the rear of the wing and fuselage. Make sure the plasticard follows the curve of the fuselage NOT the wing ! Insert some pieces of plastic in the gap between the plasticard and wing and tack in place with superglue so that the plasticar
  3. Hello all, wonder if you can help. This is for a future project. I have the Eduard Su-17M3 which I plan to model as a M4 with the KKR reconnaissance pod. The Linden Hill decals are going to be used and AFAIK all parts for the M4 are included in the M3 release. Last week I picked up some Aerobonus weapon sets including B-13L rocket launchers. I know that reconnaissance Su-17s carried offensive weapons in order to attack targets of opportunity but would a KKR equipped jet carry B-13 rockets ? From what I gather they were fairly specialized weapons so they may only have been used to attack
  4. Welcome home son ! Mine's a Stella
  5. The day Ryanair start offering customer service, now THAT will be something to remember ! Still, O'Learys traveling circus isn't the only joker in the pack: http://www.indianexpress.com/news/airline-makes-passengers-pay-for-fuel/877006/

  7. LOL Well, if that's your favorite weekend past-time then this is the kit for you
  8. As under Augustus the Roman Empire encompassed virtually all of continental Europe, modern Turkey, Egypt, Israel, most of Syria, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco they'd be hard pressed with 60 Humvees and 16 armored vehicles :D
  9. Exactly ! the base of the tail is flat but the fuselage is curved. Best thing is to remove the inside of the base altogether. A bit of the tail "sticks out" behind the fuselage but that is easily covered with a bit of plasticard. This is a lot easier than filing or sanding the bottom of the tail assembly. On another note. To the best of my knowledge the BMK was never fitted with the "rear view mirror" on top of the canopy. When you fit all the scoops you'll find there is one little one left over. This one should go on the left fuselage half between the tail root and the long duct. T
  10. Hi Marlin, If I can give you a little tip for gluing the tail on. Best thing to do is to remove as much plastic as possible from the inside of the base of the tail. Bit difficult to explain without pictures but when you glue the tail halves together the base of the tail is a flat surface. You need to glue this to a curved fuselage however. I found that if you remove the plastic on the inside of the tail base (bit like you would with a vacform kit) you won't even need filler for the tail. Hope this helps.
  11. Looks like the Swedish version of the Leopard 2A5 known locally as the Stridsvagn 122 http://www.army-guide.com/eng/product2019.html Put stridsvagn 122 in Google and you get plenty of good info (too much to list here). Hope this helps. EDIT: Found this: http://www.az-maquette.com/42-99-thickbox/stridsvagn-122-char-lourd-suedois-decal-echelon-1-35.jpg
  12. Good luck with the build, that resin cockpit looks nice. It's a b*stard to build ain't it
  13. I might have a surplus British Airways sheet (need to check). If interested send me a PM.
  14. Hello Damien, I know this is of no use to you but I had the same problem. Some time ago I bought the Belgian AF version of their Metro Swearingen. When it became time to put the decals on they completely disintegrated as soon as they touched water. Sent an email offering to buy a Super King Air model directly from them and asked them to include a spare decal sheet for the Metro. No response to that mail or the reminder either. It might be worth your while to send a mail to Modelimex. They seem to be their main distributor: http://www.modelimex.com/contacts
  15. Hello all, From the IPMS Germany site. 3 Models built for Revell Germany by Dieter Wiemann. It doesn't state if they are built from the test-shots or if this is the finished article. 16. Honestly don't see what the problem is. If people want criticism, constructive or otherwise, there is a perfectly good sub-forum available. Not everybody wants or needs "educating" on their handy-work, some are perfectly content to display it in this section and use it as the Display Case it is meant to be. If you like it, leave a comment. If you don't like or the subject doesn't appeal, don't leave a comment. This whole forum is geared towards people exchanging information. You can ask any question, request any type of information, give and receive criticism to your heart's content on
