  1. Isn't there also an issue with how many topics the forum displays be default, which includes pinned topics, and that pinned topics can take up the entirety of the first page of a subforum?
  2. I have a few more not pictured. The only big ones are a Trumpeter 1/32 MiG-23ML, Revell 1/144 C-17, Academy 1/48 KV-107II, RoG 1/72 B-17G, and an AFV Club M1132.
  3. Tamiya is also having an issue with importing to the US. From what I've heard, Tamiya is having to redo their labels with all proper warnings in English due to health and safety regulations.
  4. Has anyone ever done a large size battlefield scene with tanks, troops, planes, etc.?
  5. I find it easier to paint while still attached to the casting block. I use a razor saw to remove it afterwards and just use automotive wetdry sandpaper to wet sand it flat. Water used during wet sanding will trap any potential dust.
  6. The color on the PE really bugs me, but I don't have the skill to carefully paint over the PE with a more accurate shade. Also,I found this as another match for the PE: "It's a 50/50 mix of Gunze Sangyo H25 Sky Blue and H46 Emerald Green. " http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/lofiversion/index.php/t67674.html
  7. I'll suggest that the Group Build be extended till July 30th. I don't have the supplies I need and won't be able to meet the June deadline.
  8. No, F-4E and F-4EJ use different wings. However, I don't remember what exactly the difference was.
  9. Replaced with thermoptic camouflage?
  10. Nothing but troubles with that. And they halted the production of PollyScale. I was wondering which of the three clear acrylics that RichardL preferred.
  11. I want to avoid using a lacquer.
  12. Which one do you prefer to use?
  13. Photos taken at the Akron Zoo which is fairly small. More can be seen here.
  14. I've always found that spraying Krylon from the can leads to a really thick coat.
  15. They have registration disabled. Try emailing one of the admins or support.
  16. I've never had issues getting parts from Revell, even many parts on a single. I'm not sure about a whole sprue though.
  17. With anger like that it scares me that you own a cat. You can send that cat my way. =3
  18. Just your standard enamel spray paint. They work well for large surfaces. The spray volume is a bit much and you can overcoat and end up with runs if you're not careful.
  19. Curtis cockpit green is similar to US interior green(not green zinc chromate) and many modelers use interior green. You can add a bit of brown to your liking. You can google pictures of P-40 cockpits and you'll see a bit of variation. "The cockpit of the P-40 was Curtiss Cockpit Green, which was the Berry Brothers' (a local paint vendor) approximation of Interior Green. Reportedly it was a little browner than Interior Green." http://www.ipmsstockholm.org/magazine/2004/02/stuff_eng_interior_colours_us_part2.htm
  20. Northern Ohio and the humidity has been around 70-99%
  21. I don't know the indoor relative humidity and have no way of checking it. I'll use Tamiya and Citadel. I'll only be brush painting.
  22. I know you're not supposed to paint in high humidity, but it's been raining for over a week straight here and supposed to rain all this week. How will the humidity affect acrylic paint that is painted indoors? I would like to get started on painting my Revell 1/72 B-17G cockpit.
