Added info from Dec.2015 news letter Seats/Armor Plate/Weight & Balance, Center of Gravity (C/G) The final assembly of all the seat elevation parts is now complete. We have replaced the original steel armor plates with the exact same dimensions using 1/4” aluminum plate . We originally made a decision to wait until we were doing the ‘weight and balance’ of the aircraft to see where we needed to add or subtract weight. This may help and check out the whole rebuild of this fine aircraft. 1- site of reconstruction XP-82 Twin Mustang Project: HOME 2- Seats from: April XP-82 Twin Mustang Restoration Update We assembled the pilot and co-pilot fold-back seats. (Each seat can fold back and the rudder pedals disconnect to slide forward so either pilot could sleep on long missions.) Regardless, alcohol on your hands for the time it takes to wash your resin, could certainly remove all the oils from your hands-ouch . So "rubber"/vinyl gloves are recommended. Use in a ventilated area or open a window etc. just to keep the fumes at a reasonable level. Strongly suggest you do not do the "parts washing " in the area in front of your ga
