O-2B was a civilian Skymaster (so it lacks the added side and upper windows of the O-2A) used for psy-ops with a leaflet dispenser underneath and a large speaker on the rear right fuselage. There was also internal differences since they carried no weapons and there were some other cockpit differences. They usually had spinners installed too, but not always (as one option on this release did not). The s/n of the camo-ed aircraft in the kit decals was actually an O-2B even though it's stated as an O-2A.

Thanks. Ya it and the O-1 are small enough in 1/1 to be perfect size in 1/32. If you're interested in the camo ones make sure you're aware though those are all O-2B variants.

Two new sheets covering the AC-119G Shadow and AC-119K Stinger - one in 1/72 for the Italeri/Testor kit and one in 1/144 for the Roden kit (for some reason they only provided one decal option and it was a stateside training squadron). Markings are provided for eight AC-119G Shadows and six AC-119K Stingers gunships from the Vietnam War covering all three USAF squadrons (The AC-119G can be relatively easily built from the 1/72 Italeri/Testors AC-119K kit, unfortunately currently OOP). The six 71st & 17th SOS Shadows include The Devil's Advocate, City of Columbus Indi

I'm not sure what you mean by yellow circle. If you're talking about the large tail marking's background color or the background of the VAL-4 insignia on the nose they were both only red. The overall grey VAL-4 scheme began in 1971. If you're wanting green/grey camo with the red/black pony on the tail there was a period in 1971 with those markings (spinners were gold) but the nose modex was in white. Here's 104:

I've not seen any photos of the Black Ponies having white upper wing, can you share those photos? For the USAF FAC Broncos, the white was only on the upper surface (and USMC ones that had white on the top wing too).

They all got them (and EA-6A too). The -100 was introduced around 1968 and retrofitted to earlier airframes. Trumpeter 1/32 and Hobby Boss 1/48 A-6A kits do include them, they're part of the pylons - but their version of the antenna is not shaped well (way too thin). The Es didn't have them.

Yes Alex excellent build, even more so when one considers the base kit!
-
It is pic of VA-85 but from 1967 not 1968. (Also VA-75s 1968 NH tail codes were inline and they had black modex with white drop shadow, the white modex and shifted tail codes in pic also confirm it's VA-85)

Cooperation with Academy I imagine?

Excellent walk around pics, nit pick though that's not the DON'T SHOOT warbird, but it does have similar artistic markings. Didn't seem like it's been that long on this thread but time flies. Plug now that Roden has released their kit, I've finished the decals I had mentioned earlier for legit period markings. www.aoadecals.com/32025

After the earlier O-1 Bird Dog and OV-10 Bronco sheets, AOA decals completes the big three Vietnam USAF FACs in 1/32 decal form with this new release covering the O-2 Skymaster for Roden's new kit. 32-025 FAC & BS Bomber Oscar Deuces USAF/VNAF O-2A/O-2B Skymasters in the Vietnam War 14 schemes: O-2A - 7 grey USAF options, 3 black USAF options, and 1 VNAF option. O-2B - 3 SEA camouflaged USAF options (In the hopes Roden will release an O-2B boxing or someone will produce a B conversion.....) Enough data/stencils are provided for at least two ai

I'll be there as a vendor (AOA decals). Haven't been to that show before.

Granted the one by the tailhook base isn't shown/described, but the AOA A-4 sheets do show on the profiles whether the dispenser on the rear fuselage was there or not. I'm not sure they'd deal with blanking plates? Majority of the Marine A-4s I've seen in Vietnam where the dispensers are visible it appears they are not blanked off, some are loaded, others may be just unloaded. Here's an VMA-223 example in Vietnam: I don't recall seeing A-4s with the rear one mounted on the starboard side, but can't confirm. Seems to be

Another 1/32 A-6 Intruder release coming, actually two releases. Sheets 32-023 & 32-024 will only cover one squadron - VA-65 Tigers but spans 25 years of their aircraft, starting with their Vietnam War deployments (including the early camo test scheme and the ill-fated 1967 Forrestal cruise), then into the mid 70s period with their more well known schemes, and the beginning of low viz in the early 80s, and ending at Desert Storm. Part 1, 32-023, will cover the six high viz period schemes and includes full stencils for one aircraft (additional stencils are available separately with previous

I think that's the first time I've seen a Saturn V on display upside down, can understand the logic of showing those rockets. I wish the show was more compact (as in less days). It makes it very hard to put that many days attending as far as time and money when it really could be trimmed down by a day or more.
