  1. Wow, I'm gonna have to check this kit out. I already hear the Halo Theme in my head now.
  2. Phil Flory has a video review on his Youtube page. I think I want one!!
  3. Bookmarked. That's a great reference!!! Thanks.
  4. As far as I know, you could load 8 flare mods or 8 chaff mods, or any combination of. I never got on top of the jets while the loaders were doing their thing, but that seems correct. You are exactly right about the smooth covers. When they don't fly chaff or flare, they put those covers on to cover the ports.
  5. Ooooh, B-1 stuff!!! I was an Ammo troop at Dyess for 4 years, so I saw a WHOLE lot of B-1 stuff. The chaff mods are open topped, so when a chaff stick is fired, the top on the stick is pushed off, and the chaff follows it out into the airstream. Half of the time, the chaff mods would have the little plastic squares that are glued over the top of the plastic grid to cover the tops of the chaff sticks, but they came off very easily. It was pretty common to have chaff mods go out on a jet, and come back with the little squares missing even though the chaff hadn't been expended. The flare mods on
  6. That is begging for a Trumpy 1-72 Tu-95 to go with it.
  7. Per the USAF Fact Sheets page: AIM-120 Length: 143.9 inches (366 centimeters) Launch Weight: 335 pounds (150.75 kilograms) Diameter: 7 inches (17.78 centimeters)Wingspan: 20.7 inches (52.58 centimeters) (For A/B models, the C/D models have the clipped fins) AIM-7 Length: 12 feet (3.64 meters) Diameter: 8 inches (0.20 meters) Wingspan: 3 feet, 4 inches (1 meter) I can get more specific information when I get home this evening. Former USAF Ammo troop, so I have some stuff laying around the house.
  8. Phil Flory did a really in depth review of this and 3 other types of NMF paints, (Alclad II, Model Master Metalizers, and GSI Metallics). Its an hour and a half long, but it's a great video.
  9. Ah, there sure is. So he DID go with an AESA radar array.
  10. Just noticed the X wings wings are different, as well.
  11. Great trailer. I'm not sold on the motion camera with the Falcon, either, but still enough of a morsel to get the heart fluttering. Did anyone else notice the Falcon didn't have the antenna on top? I wonder if Han never bothered to fix it after Lando knocked it off in the second Death Star, or if there is more to it than that? Maybe he put an AESA array there instead???
  12. Unfortunately, it was an original. Built in 1944. http://www.paiaero.com/
  13. Wow, Ms. Kaszynski sounds like one hell of a woman. I wish somebody would get some of those 457th FS birds in decal form that she took pictures of in the link. Those are some good looking Vipers. *cough* Speedhunter *couch* *cough*
  14. Bad news for the FW-190 at Baton Rouge Metro Airport today. Plane had engine trouble, and ran into the EMAS at the end of the runway on landing. Plane ended up tail high. Pilot was fine. Hopefully the damage isn't too serious. Going to need a new prop and spinner for sure. http://theadvocate.c...injured-when-ww
  15. I really like Phil Flory's shows he puts up on Youtube. Everything is in HD, and he seems like a really good dude. I'm not a subscriber to his site, but he does a quality News show on Youtube every Friday. Which reminds me, it IS Friday.........................
  16. Jake's Modern Phantom Guide has a bunch of upward angle shots for the nose on page 49. Maybe drop him a line and see if he will send you some of his pictures?
  17. Just finished up a trade with Don. He's a great trader. He sent me a 1/32 F-15E, shipped from Canada to south Louisiana in just under a week. Great guy to trade with.
  18. I was on Airfighters earlier, and noticed that 85-0072 was now an Ellsworth bird. When did that happen? She was my favorite bird at Dyess when I used to work the flightline there. I know she had a weapons school WA tail code for a while, but now she's up at Ellsworth. http://www.airfighte...Lancer/85-0072/
  19. I have a Hasegawa F-16CJ and a Kinetic A-6E. The boxes on both are open. The A-6 is complete, the F-16 has had the HARMS and rails taken out for another kit, but does come with a Dr. Pepper resins Left side HTS, and GE exhaust.
  20. David Aungst's U-2 has a great section on painting it black and weathering it. http://hsfeatures.com/features04/u2sdwa_3.htm
  21. Yeah, that's the ones. The pictures don't do justice to how good they look in person. I wish I had the time and money to get all the upgrade sets.
