  1. Warthoglvr, I will not disclose any secrets from the bat cave, but I tell you this I will built another A-7E but in 1/72 scale to give a little competing in that category. Anyways you did good @ the show and you said you couldn’t compete with me.
  2. Yes it was a great show, lots of awesome models especially in the aircraft prop and jet category. The 1/48 scale jet category gets harder and harder to judge, very competitive for this show. I brought some of my best 1/48 scale jets and even won a few categories. All of my winning jets are loaded with multiple after market items, cockpits, metal landing gear, flaps, slats, resin items etc. Congrats to PEP who took first with his Mig. in the 1/48 Aircraft Jet Multi-Engine category. Warthoglvr thanks for posting the great photos see you soon and congrats in the open box and best of show wins. :
  3. Yes, it was a great show and Flight 19 did an awsome job. I did very well at this show.
  4. How about Bomb & Missile bay areas for the Hasegawa & Academy F-22 1/48 scale kits.

  6. I just finished building the Academy F-22 1/48 scale about a month and I am very happy with the end result but the Academy kit has some issues: 1. Intakes-mating the intakes the lower fuselage there was some fitting problems, some sanding and putty are needed to correct that issue. 2. Nose - there are fitting issues it doesn't line up perfectly and some sanding is required but if you take your time here sanding the finish product will look perfect. 3. The exhaust section could have a bit more detail. 4. Navigation lights for the wings is just a bad design, installing these inside th
  7. Well it looks like we will be building F-14s, F-18s, F-16s & F-15s for a long time. The F-22 & F-35 are awesome aircraft but for the hobby there are no more great lines and shapes it’s all Mr. Smoothie and soft bends and dull color due to special paint on these aircraft. The F series aircraft before the F-22 & F-35 have great line and shapes. This new concept from Boeing; where the hell is tail? So how is the Navy going to paint CAG's on the nose? :(

  9. The IPMS Venice 2010 show this weekend was awesome. I would like to give thanks to the organizers for putting on a great show. There were 44 modelers and over 250 kits entered. I truly enjoyed the entire day, very nice people. See you next year.
  10. WOW impressive, how many years of building did take to build all of those bad boys? I have much respect for you that is how you represent the hobby.
  11. Zactoman, individuals should have the right to express their ideas, experiences, and opinions without insulting one another no matter what level of education, race and ethnicity they are or language they speak. It’s unfortunate but I will defend who I am with great passion and honor. I would like to hear more about your ideas and thoughts about our hobby. I have a few of your items you have created and I must say there awesome. Please continue the great work in the aftermarket area.
  12. Greg, this is very disrespectful it is unfortunate that this happen to your Mig. Now that I have a closer look @ your paint job I like the difference in color very nice.
  13. I think some modelers have forgotten the reason why some use aftermarket kits, IT IS TO BRING REALISUM to make it as real as possible. We are all trying to duplicate to real thing & because now we have judging that just don't understand it or fail to see that concept. May the judging guidelines have to change because that not right? You can go to a show like the Texas show and every kit that won had heavy aftermarket usage WOW FACTOR and then you go to another show and some very plain kit win best of show beating kits with aftermarket kits that look 100 times better. I would say you got ro
  14. I was @ this event and I did see the Mig that won it was nice but very plan there was no WOW factor at all and I did not think that its paint job was not that great either. There was an F-15 & J-10 that the paint jobs where much better and cleaner with no over spray @ all. Now if I had to pick between F-18 WOW factor and the MIG the F-18 would win. The modeler has put much more work and difficulty into the build, while the Mig was a simple build no difficulty @ all. When a modeler has made the decision to add aftermarket parts to his kit and it look fantastic to make the model stand out th
