Looks like an empty MER, but I'm no expert.

Lol I need to get a new monitor at work, I looked black to me!
-
Because a grey and Black Frogfoot would make for a very interesting modeling subject.

Lol oops! Still a great job! :)

Please please paint them like the Vipers!

Nice build my friend! But i just noticed the FOD grills! Looks like eduard got it wrong. they have you install them in front of the louvers when in fact they should be hinged behind them! some one correct me if i'm work. Not a critique against you but against eduard!

Bernie why not try and trade it for a A on the trading forum? I'm sure you will get some one interested.

Perhaps Split the categories? Novice, Intermediate and Master? I know most contest do have enough models to do this, but it might prove useful in bigger contests?

Su-25s would make the most sense given the situation. I heard this morning they even authorized Assad to do airstrikes on ISIS in Iraq. so might end up being Iraqi planes piloted by Syrians.

If i recall correctly, the OOB catergory was intended to "even the field" between those who had the skills to scratch build, or funds to invest in aftermarket. In my opinion, the OOB category is outdated. Today, you can spend more money on finishing products (pigments, washes, chipping medium) than in the kit it self. To me this invalidates the reason for an OOB category completely.

I think there was one on the for sale section a couple of weeks back.

Going back to school sale - outdated

Here is my latest build. This is the Hasegawa F-16B I used Aires exchaust, True Details Seats, and various left over tamiya bits inc OAE probes, wheel bay details, and sidewinder and TACTS pod. I used Fightertown's Holy Sh1t it's Viper sheet, and J's Work Camo masks (these are a must!). Painted with Tamiya and flat coated with Vallejo. 99% done just need to finish off the sidewinder and TACTS pod.

Bump with lower prices.

I use this as my primary flat coat, MM acryl thinned with tamiya acrylic thinner. easy to use and always good results. However it is not completely dead flat (see bellow). Ray, I used the vallejo on the viper, great stuff dead flat! but it dries and clogs at the airbrush tip way to much!might have to add some retardant next time.

hmmm after my first experience with a lacquer eating through my decals i never tried again. I have stuck with future as gloss and Testors Acrylic Flat. I have used tamiya flat spray can but this was after a coat of future over the decals. I'm trying to think of a way to save these but i don't think a light sanding will produce good results. are the rest of the decals like this on your kit?
