  1. Wow, just caught up with this, fantastic work :)
  2. Whilst I partly agree with you, if someone has purchased after market accessories to replace the kit ones, irrespective of their own ability to produce them, they are at liberty to offer feedback on their purchase, especially when they are aimed at improving the kit. Typically we purchase such items because we don't have the ability or desire to produce our own so I don't agree with this part of your statement. If you aren't aware of the quality before you buy, it's difficult to decide not to buy. This is where honest reviews come in. I also use their stuff, however my VC10's have a few oval e
  3. CMR are very good with their customer service so I'd contact them. This year I built their Lancaster BII conversion and didn't understand one of the instructions. They followed up within 24 hours.
  4. Wow, that's one shiny paint job. Looking forwards to seeing it finished.
  5. Hi Eduardo, Thanks for your kind words. Pretty much out of the box apart from chopping the top part of the wing engine pylons off (they could do with a bit more really as the engines sit too low to the ground) and doing some scribing here and there. Getting the seam blended in down the middly was a bit of a chore, but nothing you wouldn't expect from a big hollow piece of plastic ! Regards Neil
  6. As Frank does, I do them freehand as there's nothing worse than spending an hour masking something, then when you remove it, the paint has run under the bugger !!!!
  7. Wow, you've pulled that off superbly Chris, some paint job.
  8. Depends how much of a purist you are. I built the airfix one and whilst not perfect, looks like a DC-10 to me !
  9. Love the weathering...and the build is pretty fantastic too !
  10. I use Halfords Appliance white for the white bits. The hardest part of making tubeliners (IMO) is filling, smoothing, filling, smoothing.....to get the seams smooth along the centre. I'm currently making a Revell 742 and I've spent 4 days getting the fuselage to a standard I'm happy with. The masking tape will cost more than the damn kit !!!!! That BA 747 is a work of art, You've done it alot of justice. I bought one of these, and realised I didn't have the skill to do what you've clearly done to this, superb.
  11. One looks great, two look greater ! They look fab
  12. Love the weathering, brings it to life, one of the best Harriers I've seen.
  13. Very nice. I finished one of these last week over on Britmodeller. Love the paintwork on the props and the crew which add a great sense of scale to it. I used the old Matchbox kit, but the decals were shocking.
  14. I was going to put a link to your build Mitch, you beat me to it ! Love this one.
