  1. just curious on this - dont see why you cant but is it possible to airbrush silver (enamel - humbrol) paint? would like to try airbrushing (will start with a cheap starter set and compressed air - anything more needs to be "earnt" ;-)) looking around for something different i spotted the airfix 1/72 Grumman Widgeon - prefer props and this just looked different. I dont think my airbrushin will be up to the grey/green camo so am looking at the US coast Guard version. this, however is silver (looks grey on the box but the kit is silver). for some reason, i have it in my head that you can't air
  2. another newcomer here - based in the UK.. coming back in to modelling after 20 years out - this time i hope to get in to airbrushing... looking for a simple kit to practice on (and a cheap airbrush tostart with - any investment will have to be "earnt"). Also pre=shading, weathering to some degree.....
  3. thanks guys... will have a look at the others... as i am just back after 20 years i also need to look at air brushes... think the corsair looks interesting for my first "serious" project - just finishing off a Revell 1;72 Spit - just to get back in to things am i correct in thinking all the Tamiya 1:48 corsair kits can be done with folded wings?
  4. well as I have recently come back to modelling after a long 920 year) break (mainly due to enforced reduced working due to a broken wrist) I have been looking at my next kit. I would like something interesting to get my teeth in to and while browsing this site + online model stored I came across the Tamiya Corsair + Tug kit... so some questions 1) anyone with this kit - any obvious build problems (i will probably not correct the minute inaccuracies but would like to correct glaring problems) 2) any interesting additions - found the full Aires detail kit (no chance due to price) plus gun kit
