Did I just realize something that has been known for awhile, or did I screw it up royally? I was applying some Tamiya putty to a seam for coverage. I got some excess around the area that I didn't want, so before it dried I tried cleaning it up with Acetone/Nail Polish remover and some Q-tips. Worked good for removing the excess. Then I decided to try it on the seam and it helped make the putty look a hole lot better where I applied it, even to the point that it now seems that I will have to minimal sanding once dry. Have I been blind and not seen any posts here about how this interacts and w

I have searched what photo references I can find on the web, now need some help from the experts. Does the B2 have any navigation lights? Building the Revell 1/144 version and the instructions show none. This thing has some nasty seems on it that I will have to deal with later, but I guess that is what I get with a cheap model. Thanks

That is awesome work sir!!!!!

Curious and I haven't been able to find any pictures with a clear enough reference. Does the B-2 have navigation lights on it? Been gone for about the last 8 months, finally got some time to sit back down and start the hobby again.

Need some help from the experts. I mixed some green putty with acetone to a very nice consistency. Applied and sanded down and looked real good. put on my primer coat and now I can see all types of little porous holes in the area I was working on. Question is if I stay with this method what do I need to due different? If I change methods, what should I use? I havent had much luck with gap filling CA and sanding down after about 10 minutes? Should I sand this down/remove back to the original and start all over? Thanks for any help.

Singeri......correct, I went back and checked my pile of FSM mags real quick, but didn't come across it, but very good article indeed.

Another option, and just my 2 cents..........I use tempura washable paints. Mix black and white to get the desired color you want, slather it on, let dry, come back with a damp Q-tip or cloth and clean up the excess. If you dont get the look you want, wipe completely off and start over, or put another coat on. The tempura paints are found with most art supplies, and kid safe since that is what they use in a lot of grade schools for painting.

Final pictures posted in the museum thread. Lots I could have done better, but had fun developing my skills further, hopefully the next one turns out better. Special thanks to BAH and the group for all the advice given during the build. -

Looking to just paint a canopy completely silver (1/144 scale) since it is so small. Anything different that you would do for this? Paint on the inside or outside? What is the best color to use? Should I go with black instead? Just looking for options, never tried it before. Thanks

Ok, tried the search function and must have used the wrong combination of words. I am looking to remove 2 engine cowls from a B-17 that went on crocked. What/how do I remove with no damage so I can reposition correctly? Thanks in advance.
