I have a few resources and searched a few websites, but can’t find anything of value as to why, when, and how long the bottoms were black on F-4D’s. Can anyone point me in a direction to read up on it? How long did it last? Did it weather up, like the light coloured ones. Was it an overpaint? Meaning would it chip to grey, or white? Thanks Ron

Had round 1 on Friday. Feeling good. -
i don’t think the F-14 was ever cleared for the aim-120. Must be aim-7’s in the box.

Interesting that the accessory decals show common and different decal numbers for the B and J. So hopefully we will get the J fairly soon. -

Are you looking for something specific from the sheet? I am using the VF-111 from it and possibly the VF-1 markings. -
I got a great deal years ago on the complete CMK set for it. I used all most all of it, but I didn’t really need to. However the canopy elements really help, and the gear and weapons bay look better because of it, but it isn’t essential.

Just walk around, you’ll find it. Ask me how I know. -

Looks that way for sure. But with Tamiya that is no guarantee. -

Well I do agree that Tamiya planned on releasing a two seater, but they haven’t. Which indicates they are still going to, but it has been a long time. Or they talked themselves out of releasing it. Likely as many others have pointed out, it is a business decision. Meaning they won’t be depositing as many gold bricks as we think they will. -

No you won’t, I skipped over you in the digital lineup and took them all. -
I have the 1:48 Hobby Boss A-10A. I have always been set on doing a desert storm green machine with the shark mouth. But lately I have been more and more drawn to a grey painted version. I do not want to buy the Italeri A-10C, but I may have to in the end. I only want to do a combat aircraft with live ordnance, not fussy on the conflict. I just want the path of least resistance to modifying the Hobby Boss kit. Ideas?

Scott, I am sure that it is correct that they have closed down. But how does a post on another website confirm it? Is there something I am not getting out of the article?

Which Tomcat has your "Need for speed"?

I have 10 1:48 tomcats in 1:48. 5 Tamiya, 1 AMK, 4 Hasegawa. I should be able to come up with something from this mini stash. Anyone want to buy some Hasegawa Tomcats? -
I am finding the exact opposite here in Canada. I find that Hannants sits on my orders for a week at minimum and on average 10 days with the longest being 15 days. Then the Royal Mail and Canada Post bust their humps and get the package to me in near record times of 3-7 days. So the same amount of time as you experience but I put the hold up on Hannants not the postal systems.

The nose looks too blunt. Needs redlines.

AIM-7M/P- from the 1:48 AMK weapons set

Thanks for your knowledge. Now I can get those missiles built. -
I use an old coffee cup warmer, have been using it for close to 30 years works great to soften and help decals release from the paper. Only drawbacks are my water gets too hot, just remove the bowl from the heat. Plus sometimes the decal comes off too quickly, as in less than 2 seconds.
