  1. Thanks for allowing me to post. Hope you don't mind me sharing an update. I have released another free upgrade for owners of KitBase 2 (the flexible Windows application for keeping track of your kits and accessories). Users can now create and share custom database designs (templates). Many new features have been added to increase flexibility following user feedback. As before, data can be synchronised across to free reader apps for iOS and Android (no subscription required). If you would like to try out KitBase 2 for Windows, a free trial version is
  2. I'm working towards that. I rewrote KitBase from scratch to enable me to build different front-ends on the same database engine. Mobile versions will be next (Android, iOS) then on to Mac. Sorry I can't give you what you want right away.

  4. Thanks to Steve Bamford for allowing me to join. Hi All, I have made the new version of KitBase available to try. KitBase 2 is a customisable database for scale modellers, allowing you to record kits, accessories, paint stock and references. The application is still at beta stage, therefore it is missing some features: import (from Excel), export and reports. These will be coming in the next few weeks. You can still buy the original, complete version of KitBase and receive a free upgrade when KitBase 2 is fully released. You can try out KitBase 1.4 h
  5. Hi Dave, You should be able to do that very easily in KitBase if you have the 'Built' field in the view. If the field isn't there, use the 'Customise Current View' link on the left to add it in. Just choose 'Owned' status (on the left) then use the filter at the top of the 'Built' column. Choose 'No'. The count will be at the bottom left, in the status bar. I have included a screenshot below, illustrating this. RE: KitBase II I have worked hard to make KitBase 2 just as intuitive as KitBase 1. The same forms, views and reports will be available out
  6. Thanks to Steve Bamford for allowing me to post. Hi All, I am the developer of KitBase (database application for scale modellers and collectors). A brand new version of KitBase has been under development since early 2016. It's transforming into a much more flexible way to keep track of wanted, owned, sold and traded models. My main drive has been to rewrite the database engine from the ground up to be cross-platform (Windows, Android, iOS and ultimately Mac). If you are new to KitBase, you can buy the current version (1.4) right now a
  7. I'm working towards a Mac and iOS port with KitBase. Unfortunately, it's dependent on a couple of Microsoft-specific technologies at the moment. Right now you can export the KitBase reports to PDF or Excel format and access these via an app on iOS/Android. The 'lite' versions of the PDF/document readers are free.
  8. You can import spreadsheets into KitBase now. KitBase might not be for you if you're happy with your spreadsheet, but you can try it out for free: http://www.suisoft.co.uk/kitbase/index.htm Some time ago, I knocked up a comparison chart (KitBase versus Spreadsheet): http://www.suisoft.co.uk/kitbase/spreadsheetcomparison.htm Cheers, Gary
  9. Looks like the forum is picking up certain words as spam. I guess you are referring to certain Apple products. I do have plans for a Mac and ultimately mobile version of KitBase. If you drop me a line via email, I can add you to the mailing list so that you can keep up to date: http://www.suisoft.co.uk/contact.htm
  10. Glad you're finding it useful. Any problems, pleasee drop me a line. Cheers, Gary
  11. Thanks for the recommendations guys.
  12. Sorry for the slow response. I keep thinking I've got email replies set up then not getting them. I am working towards a Mac version but I need to replace a couple of Microsoft technologies. I can't say for certain what the timescale is. Might be next year if I don't encounter too many problems.
  13. Thanks Jim. Sounds like you have quite a collection! Cheers, Gary
  14. Hi Neo, I'm a one-man operation at the moment but feel free to email me: http://www.suisoft.co.uk/contact.htm Cheers, Gary
