  1. Great idea and nicely done. Thanks
  2. What will you do with cockpit panel? http://img412.imageshack.us/img412/4868/0814786dl3.jpg Not really the same as Italeri's
  3. Well, point of all internet shops is that you can switch to another one in just a click. Since I order stuff, I only ordered from Lucky model, but I bet that there are at least 10 100% good shops. Since HLJ is Japan's store, I completely approve this. Especially if their work continues with "regular" shipping if that's even possible now. For some hobby stuff 2% isn't a cost of one cigarette in a box. But if 1000 people order that one stuff, it may mean something much more for other people.
  4. Interesting thread, I'd like to hear comparings between Tamiya, Gunze and MM against Humbrol preferably?
  5. Well, I have put inner struts again, and put a wing on it. Group build goes till June so I have enough time to put it together again. I hope I will. But just can't continue now. As for the elastic thread, well, I'll probably end up buying it somewhere. I've heard there's ezline and aeroclub's rigging thread? Hm, I see shipping for Ez Line is 6 dollars, that's half of the price.
  6. Second time, my wing broke the glue and struts, I've almost did rigging on one side. I just don't feel like doing this crap anymore. Sorry :( Maybe WWI isn't theater for me. Or should I take a break from this one ;)
  7. I was thinking about this Tamiya one:http://www.luckymodel.com/scale.aspx?item_no=TA%2087075 There's also a white one. I have faith in Tamiya stuff, all of their tools/accesories I've heard of and some I used are amazing, shame that their models are a bit pricey :D I guess I'll order it tomorrow. Thanks a lot, your series of posts helped me VERY MUCH!
  8. Maybe he's a Boeing fan :P :P I am one, and have extremely limited Airbus knowledge ;)
  9. Ha! Nobody likes my build. Anyway here's next step. UPPER WING IS ON! I love how did it get there. But since my oils are still fragile(long time since I put them) I'll have to redo some of them in the end while on it. Next step, second most hard step is rigging(I've never done one) and have to put 2 copper wire things at top of wing(always forget those)+I have to buy a new drill since I broke second one in a month. Note: Pictures are done quickly, that's why you can see stuff in the back, I have to buy a new background paper.
  10. Thank you, it seems I'll get either surfacer or tamiya liquid primer(I've heard it's similar, laquer based, fix small scratches), and it's cheap currently on Lucky Model. I hope that'll solve all my surface® problems ;)
  11. I am more confused than ever I'm using enamels currently, but my paint often rips off the edges of wings, fuse, etc. So I wonder if primer would help there. I guess I can't use acrylic primer for enamel painting, and model master doesn't have enamel primer, so all what is left is humbrol 1 or lacquer primers? I have a can of white primer by Tamiya, but they're expensive for me, and I would save it for painting white.
  12. Does anybody know what's the difference between this and E1/3/4 by Airfix?
  13. Im scared using lacquer thinner. I don't wanna melt the model
  14. Another question just not to open another topic. Is there a difference of random color vs. primer. Primarily I think about using some humbrol grey vs. humbrol 1 or model master grey primer?
  15. And one more question from me, are those Alley Cat figures? Resin ones?
  16. IT'S WONDERFUL. What colour have you used because this is one of the nicest I've seen on albatros model? Idea and acomplishment is superb. I'm not sure about rivets on wood? Why cover on cockpit? Why don't you let it open and put some dirt in it, maybe break something?
  17. Wow, only thing I can say.
  18. Okay, second page on thread, I am back again Colors used are, Humbrol 155, for PC10, down there, Hu121 for CDL, and 1401 model master aluminium metalizer. Here is what I done till now, all irregularities are going to tone when I pute a Future exchange, in the end it will be matt, with just small drop of semigloss, just not to be too dull. It will be weathered around lower part of the wings plus gear, and probably on tail. Drop in some ideas if you have  Next thing that awaits me, is, dreaded putting of upper wing(I forgot to take a photo of it, and now i'm too lazy) but it's fin
  19. What software are you using? If you use something where they can fly in LAN, ATC is a marvelous idea.
  20. Woooow, nice job on camo. Any pics of wip?
  21. Bingooooo! Postman left me a notice with Hong Kong written on it. I hope it resolve quickly for all of the guys who still haven't received it. LM I hope it doesn't affect your bussines too, I'll remain loyal customer ;)
  22. Oooh, first airliner I think here I think. I am waiting for their reissue of b722 and 732. Anyway, is that going to be a standing model or on a stick/something similar? Slats would be extended as pilot enters the runway, before take off, not on gate.
  23. Saga continues :P although I'm not satisfied Here's the "cockpit", one important part is missing, seat! I need balsa for that, so I hope it will be added later on. Areas without paint have paint on it, and it can't be seen easily anyway ;) Here are the next problems that are waiting Putty is on, and drying. I did some preshading there, and it looks good on the upper wing on the upper area, not really down. I also need to drill in some holes for rigging. Thanks for looking, it isn't going well as it's supposed :P :)
