  1. Any idea of how those compare to the Alumilite products? I was thinking that I could buy the rubber and then a resin separately. I would then have to get some kind of release agent also I guess. What I would like to start off with is a two part mold (one part if I can get away with it) to cast 1/72 Phantom Nozzles. I have a few old 1/72 Revell kits and the nozzles are horrible. Thought I could cast the Hasegawa, Fujimi or maybe the newer Revell nozzles.
  2. If I remember correctly 3M is changing all of the tube sizes to the smaller 14oz tubes.
  3. So I have been looking around and there seems to be a lot of stuff out there. Should I just pick up something like the Alumilite Mini-Kit or should I just piece together what I need. There is so much out there some I'm not sure what is what a modeler needs and what doesn't apply. I did a search but there just doesn't seem to be the info I'm looking for.
  4. I can get them direct from Ha Hen but thought the price of shipping was expensive at 8,50 Euros. At $1.31 USD per Euro it would cost me over $11 to ship these decals to the US where I just did the reverse for $3. The Aviation Super Stores shipping and handling is 26,55 for shipping and handling but they are offering a 21,88 euro discount on shipping though. It’s only a sheet of decals isn’t it? Maybe someone knows a shop in the US where I might be able to order these from?
  5. Anybody have a HaHen 48040 "40 Jahre Mölders" decal set they would like to part with?
  6. Funny, when I clicked the link for conversion kits the other day I got a page with no pictures and text only. It wasn't on there then but now I get a page with the photos and the 26K conversion. Thanks, I figured out what I saw. There is a link for Scaledown Resin Conversion Packs and a link for Resin Conversion Packs.
  7. The OzMods conversion kit doesn't seem to be in their current line up so I sure the conversion set would kind of pricey up here in the US. The Italeri kit is kind of hard for me to stomach to hand over $33 + shipping US for a 1/72 kit that is not all that accurate where for a little more I can pick up a Monogram 1/48 cheap and 1 or 2 of the conversion kits available. I'm going to have to sit back on this one and study which course best fits my wants and my wallet but I think I'm going to go the spare box route like the Surgeon did. Maybe I can just fab up the parts I need also but I'll hav
  8. I think I read the review of the mix mash a little while ago. I also heard that the Italeri kit was the was totally off. What is The Ozmods set.
  9. Has anybody ever produced a kit of this version of the Invader or conversion parts?
  10. All the details are HERE or here is the link Item no. 250751470714 Thanks!
  11. Is this done in other scales? You would think they would be all over this to make a quick buck.
  12. Got a little more info today on the different color puttys they have.
  13. I stumbled across this thread and have some useful information for people still searching for the 3M Acryl-Blue Putty.
  14. Offers? I'm thinking of placing this on Ebay tonight.
  15. Ken, What books would you recommend?
  16. I'm up in Sayreville. I found them and they are aged a bit but if you have a photo shop program you know how to use I would think you could clean things up easily. What resolution would you kneed? I tried 1200 and noticed a bunch of lint in the photo. Turns out that the scanner my sister game me has to cleaned on the inside. You can send your email in a private message and you can see if the copy is good enough. Ed
  17. I have the Navy decals from that kit here, at least what is left after building an Army version. I'll look around for them and see what is left and let you know. The Navy specific would at least still be there but lets see what kind of shape it's in after 20+ years.
  18. Should be able to just replace the gauge since if do exceed the capacity it would just peg at zero.
  19. It should work as you think and not how it is. I have a question about the gauge. I'm looking to pick up a new regulator and have seen some conflicting information about the gauge in this setup. Does it have a 60 or 100 psi max on the gauge and what kind of increments are on it?
  20. Sears also has a 25 gallon air tank on sale for $24 untill the end of the 24th. I was just there getting a tool box for my brother-in-law.
  21. The Sears by me sells refurbished compressors and tools with a full factory warranty at reduced prices.
  22. Was thinking maybe I could use a marine blower if I can cheaply convert it from DC to AC. http://www.westmarine.com/webapp/wcs/store...;classNum=11211 The boat blowers are designed to vent out any fumes in the hull that could ignite so they are spark proof fans. A 3" blower generally blows at 170 CFM and the 4" should blow about 240 CFM.
  23. I found the picture! They list materials in the picture but I don't know about the fan. I'm going to have to check out all those like you posted.
