  1. Yes, but starting them has been on hold until Zactoman gets some two seat canopies. I need one UB & three SU30 canopy sets before I can get started. I thought about doing my single seat SU27 but i can't decide, I like the 2 seaters better. I have several of the Zacto sets already (missles, rails, pods, intakes noses, etc.) I will build some of the ordinance that comes in the 30's to pass the time. I will let you know how crappy they might be.
  2. This would be cool! A KH-31P ARM I would think this would be popular. I have 3 SU30's I need them for I would put them on 2 of them at least.
  3. How about some Russian antiship missles, or just any cool Russian air to ground stuff.
  4. Don't do it. It's a downward spiral to building for competition, it will take the fun out of modeling.
  5. Please quote your source. As most research I have done shows no such thing. Japanese aircraft used duralum for aircraft skins.
  6. Because they can kill people & break things. nufff said.
  7. That's because Hobbico is busy destroying the Revell name with every stupid idea they can come up with. Revell pinewood derby, Revell slot cars, Revell science projects, Revell r/c products. Oh they know the gem of a name they bought. They are currently dragging it down to the depths of hell. It wouldn't be so bad if they were attaching "Quality" products to the name, but the JUNK they are putting out is shameful and a disgrace to the name. And I have made them aware of my feelings as well, to deaf ears.
  8. These are sooooo on my have to buy list. Just like the 2 seat SU27 canopies!
  9. How much did you pay for the Amtech kit? I am curious as it's been gone awhile.
  10. I looked for days for a part for M1A2 abrams. I knew I had done nothing to anger the modelling gods, so I doubted it a normal sacrifice. Everywhere I tell you, cleared the work bench, checked every little possible area around the normal fly zone. Fortunately I don't own a carpet monster that I keep in the basement, so there was nothing else to do but ponder whether to buy another etch set so I could go on. Told the wife about the dilema so very understanding she came to help me look for it. She wasn't down there 2 minutes and said is this it? I looked rather puzzled at her looked at what she
  11. Go big or go home. You can detail the ever luvin s*** out of 1/32. I gave up 1/48 for it, eyes aren't what they used to be. Not as many choices to be sure but it can take two to three times as long to build one.
  12. How long to release? I am more interested in the wheels & gear bays & I conversion.
  13. Would I be better off to look more toward Chinese & Venezualan Flankers? I want to do a Russian demo MKK and a Chinese version and the third is open.
  14. My paypal account and you are already well aquainted. I have taken a little break from your website to pick up some more of the Aires sets for the exhausts. I will be returning to you as soon as you get those darn 2 seat canopies done. I now need 3 MKK's & 2 UB's. I have a full set of your stuff to do my single seater. Plus I got an A7D I need parts for.......argh!
  15. A distributor closeout but I can tell you they were the only 2 left.
  16. Thanks Flankerman it gives me someplace to start looking comparing the detail differences. I found at least a dozen pictures of MKI's with out canards, granted some could have been the same aircraft I didn't look that close.
  17. From looking at photos on airliners.net they don't all have canards. I read somewhere that they have been dropped out of production, I think.
  18. Ok i have picked up 2 more 1/32 Trumpeter SU30 MKK's for $50 ea. (makes a total of 5 1/32 flankers, I may need to see a shrink). I now need to know if there are any plans available to determine the differences between the MKK's and the MK2's & MKI's. From looking at photo's it appears that tails seem to be the main differences. I am sure the cockpits are different. Any help is appreciated.
  19. Have the store you got it from order another one ,then take the parts & have the store return the kit to GP as defective. I do that for my customers whenever I can. I wish all model companies had good replacement parts service like Revell & tamiya.
  20. Someone on Large Scale Planes suggested I ask this over here. So here goes. I thought I read somewhere (can't find it again) that Flankers could only handle 3 different types of air to air missles at one time, anything else was simply for show, is that correct? Specifically using Zactomodels missles what would be a typical (most common) air to air load for a SU27 & Su27 UB? Is there a good site for that info? I have found references for what they can carry on each hardpoint but not what would be a typical weapon load. Thanks
