Hi Ionnais, not meant to hijack your thread, but there is the Airdoc publication: "Panavia Tornado: The Tornado IDS/ECR (Luftwaffe) in the 21st Century" http://www.amazon.com/Panavia-Tornado-Luftwaffe-References-Enthusiasts/dp/3935687176
-
For the Tornado there are is an excellent publications aimed for modelleres with lots of photos, though focused on the German Tornado!

Very cool, just saw "Symphony of Destruction" very recently doing some nice topside passes at the Dubai Airshow: http://www.airliners.net/photo/USA---Air/Rockwell-B-1B-Lancer/2731218/L/ Obviously it is just deployed to that 'area of operations', with no covers on the chaff/flare dispensers...
-
Two more of the recent German retro schemes: F-4F 38+10 in "Norm 72" F-4F 38+33 in "Norm 81"
-
No centre tank for the RF-4EJ, recce pod instead. Dark grey for the RF-4E.
-
not really, the first one (at least in Germany) was 30+20 from JG73, but it was more "low-key"
-
A new German special colour celebrating 50 years of JG74 highres version is here
-
that's because the Germans are meticulous as well ;)

Fortunately we still got some Phantoms flying here in Germany. Here is one from the Test Unit WTD61 taking off during dawn: -> http://www.airfighters.com/photo/69891/L/G...antom-II/38-13/

Glad you like them. Two more: The Col. Robin Olds scheme: http://www.airfighters.com/photo/69480/L/U...tom-II/72-0162/ And another gray one with 'tiger stripes': http://www.airfighters.com/photo/69476/L/U...tom-II/73-1184/

Some Phantoms from me as well: QF-4E at Holloman: grey/red 71-1087 with sharkmouth http://www.airfighters.com/photo/69438/L/U...tom-II/71-1087/ grey 74-1631 http://www.airfighters.com/photo/69456/L/U...tom-II/74-1631/ Heritage Flight 74-1626 in SEA colours http://www.airfighters.com/photo/69454/L/U...tom-II/74-1626/ http://www.airfighters.com/photo/69455/L/U...tom-II/74-1626/

And speaking of cool JASDF decal schemes....
Spotter replied to Mike J. Idacavage's topic in Jet Modeling
I have bought both of these colours and H16 seems to be overall the better match to my photos. But in the end (=when I have the decals in hand) I have to match it to decal No.76 ("1985-2009" & "302TFS") anyway :) -

For anybody fancy doing that scheme I have uploaded some photos of it here: http://www.airfighters.com/photosearch.php?reg=37-8322 Furthermore Gunze H16 seems to be a good match, but it all depends of course on how the decals are done and if this colour is a good match to them... -

Finally these decals are out :) I have had the chance to see this scheme at the Naha 2008 airshow. Some detail photos are on my website: http://www.flying-wings.com/airshows/2008/naha.html Now all I also need is the colour match for the green. Gunze H16 or H26 might be an option as well? Regards Andreas -
It is for sure a shame that the German Marineflieger have lost their Tornados THey always dod some great flying! You can find some photos of the MFG2 farewell show in 2005 here: http://www.flying-wings.com/airshows/2005/....html?showall=1
