  1. weathering Finally, the completed engine set
  2. Exhausts, cut the "covers" (I don't know what they are used for, just see around the exhausts on real planes, could anyone tell me?) from the kit Coolant tank, which is installed on the firewall, behind the engine firewall and the engine supports are completely scratchbuilt Painted with khaki green Allison V-1710F engine, just assembled and painted the base color add some details for engine rear part
  3. Hi all, I started this object last month. This is my first time building P-40 and it's a 1/32 big one. I decided to bring some features to this nice but plain Hasegawa kit, so I use Eduard's big set for P-40E, and then the engine is from Trumpeter's 1/32 P-38L, which use the similar Allison V-1710L engine as P-40Es do. I just finished the engine detail. Some progress here. Cut the engine cowl of the original kit cut the intake of radiators Inlet, fill the gap
  4. Hi all, Today I start this build, RAF Typhoon Mk.IB, 1/48 scale from Hasegawa. I will use resin accessories from Aires for the cockpit and the wheel bay details. This is my first time treating resin accessories. Any comment, suggestion and critique is welcome. Leonard
  5. Hi all, This is my recently finished Italeri/AM 1/48 TBF Avenger. I adopt the two-color scheme from training squadron on late 1943. This scheme is not given by the kit, so I sprayed the identification number "S7". I used Eduard color photo etched part for cockpit details. Hope you Like it. Leonard
  6. two-color camouflage is painted... I use Mr.Color C338 for lower surface, and C307 for upper surface grayish blue.. Unfortunately it seems not blue enough for this gray... Hope it can get better after washing.. Leonard.
  7. Thank you very much, David The wings are not glued yet, so I'll follow your recommendation and treat them carefully. Leonard
  8. Alan, Thank you for your comment. I'll quickly modify it. I'm going to have training squadron two-color scheme on it, with "S8" marking on fuselage. Just the same as which Hobbyboss' TBF-1C kit provides. Leonard.
  9. The interior costed me much time but finally finished. I use Eduard Photo etched parts FE267 for instrument panel details. I first paint whole interior part with black, then Mr. Color C302 as bronze green, C27 as interior green.
  10. Hi all, I'm working on the Italeri 1/48 scale TBF avenger. It is started at the end of last year, and the project goes slow but steady. Wish you give me some advices and any comments are welcome. I did some scratchbuilding to the engine part. I cut the pushrods of the kits, remade pushrods with plastic rods, pipes with tinned wires. Then painting, cylinders with black and drybrushed with silver. The cover of gearbox is painted in grey.
  11. I'm sorry that I posted in wrong place. This should be placed in "The Display Case".
