All, Its been a while since I posted this and I kind of forgot about it. Thanks for the compliments. There was a lot of masking on this kit, I am glad that you like it. Oroka, who did the F-18 artwork on your signature? That is cool. Els

All, I am working on 2 F-86D kits and I was wondering about the center section of the wings. On a lot of other peoples NMF builds I see this section painted with a grey or I see it painted darker than the rest of the wing. I looked on-line for pictures of the tops of the wings and there weren't a lot. All the ones that I managed to find it showed the whole wing being the same metal color except for one. That site had a little blurb that stated that the middle was painted gull grey. One of the kits I am building is the promodeller and the other is the 2007 release. Same kit, different m

That is nice. The painting is excellent. Its like you were able to take the best from aircraft painting and armor painting and merge the techniques to turn out a great kit. All the photos are very well done but that last picture looks like a real machine. Els -
All, Thanks for the compliments. Fustercluck, I would like to take credit for engine glow, but it is really just the way the light is reflecting of the paint in the picture. GreyGhost, I actually layed some stick matches on the kit and lit them. After a light grey drybrushing they came out looking like blast marks. Thanks for looking. Els

This is the 1:32 or 35th scale AMT/ERTL snow speeder. I built this last year but I am taking some pictures of my older kits and I thought that I would post this. I scratch built a cockpit and used some Dragon 1:35 military figures for the aircrew. Making a the helmets out of putty This is the pilot that came with the kit, and what I made. The finished product. Thanks for looking and let me know what you think Els

Hello all, I just finished this Revell F-5F. I guess it is a rerelease of an older kit. It has raised panel lines, but it goes together pretty easily. The forward sides of the aircraft needed some filler and of course with raised panel lines they go away after the sanding. This is the only reason I don't like raised panel lines. It doesn't bother me enough to rescribe the kit though... I built this kit OOB and used the kit decals. There are two options. A Thai AF aircraft and a U.S. Navy F-5F from VFC-111 which is the one I built. The kit decals went on very nicely with no problems.

Thanks for all the comments. Cloggy, You have some nice kits. Your tiger meet kits look great. I have a bunch of TM kits in the stash but the ones I really want to build are the KC-135s. I just don't know where to put them after building. I am glad to see yours built. I remember seeing pictures of the real 130s that you have modeled. I didn't think I would ever see one of them built. Your home made decals came out great. Do you sell them or are they just for your personal use? John, you have built a lot of nice models. There are also a lot of great aircraft pictures on there. I would like to see your collections. I am sorry if this has been done recently but I did a search and I couldn't find any collections posted since 1997. For aircraft I build a just about anything but I mostly concentrate on Tiger Meet aircraft and Egg planes so that is what I will post. Revell 1:72 Hasegawa 1:48 Revell 1:72 Revell 1:72

Boxster, thanks for the compliment. I saw on the Starship Modeler site that they are selling decals for the UFOs. http://www.starshipmodeler.biz/shop/index....e-decal-set.cfm

Prince of Styrene II, Thanks for your comments. Your project is really cool. I am glad that you decided to post some pictures of it here. You really did pick a strip with a lot of different elements. That is good, it will keep you from getting bored of sculpting the same thing over and over. I like your idea of making the panels in seperate boxes. It will look great when it all comes together. You must have a good amount of display space. Your sculpting of Spiff and modifications to the UFO are excellent, it matches up with the art very well. That will look awsome when it is complete

Pinguis, Thanks for the offer. I haven't looked for the part yet, it will take a little while to get the courage up to dig through the Tupperware box of parts. I might have to have a couple of cold beverages while I am looking. Els

All, Thanks for the feedback. Pinguis, Thanks for pointing out the missing part, the photo really helped. I have a big tupperware bin that I put all my leftover parts in. I will have to dig through it and see if I can find that part. Its funny that I have looked at this kit a 100 times and never noticed that, now whenever I look at it that is all I see. Balls47, thanks for your input on the base. I am a fan of Ken Middletons in-flight displays so I have looked at that post on several occasions. My wife told me the same thing as you, that the base was to busy. I pondered over spraying

I built this A-7 from Hobby Boss OOB. I bought this kit because I am a big fan of Tiger Meet aircraft. It was a nice little kit to work on. I am not sure how accurate it is, but it looks like an A-7 to me. I was not looking forward to the decals but they went on just fine. Thanks for looking, let me know what you think. Els

Thanks for all the positive comments. I am going to try and post some of your comments in here, hopefully it will work. Ken, it would be perfect for that, I would like to see it. GreyGhost. That is the only up side to not being able to find a job. I have built more models so far this year than I have in the past 5 years. At the moment I have an AT AT walker that I am modifying to look like a picture I saw on the web that is about 50% complete and another UFO that I am building in a diorama for silly week. That is also about 50% complete. I also recently finished an A-7 but have not

Thanks Boxster, I might end up buying another box myself. I was thinking about building a couple of them painted up like air racers. I have not seen the game Kill all Humans, but is there a part in there where the aliens kill/capture a cow or something? I have seen two of these kits built up with a cow and I was wondering about the connection. When you build your diorama post some pictures, I would like to see it. Els

I hear the term "Museum Quality" thrown out once in a while, for me this is what that means. Nice job, thanks for posting. Els

2qwik4u and GreyGhost, Thanks for the compliments. I first spayed the kit with metallic orange but I had to darken it up with Tamiya clear red. <End of Line> is cool, I haven't seen the movie in a long time and had forgotten about that. I need to get a copy on DVD. I have it on VHS but I haven't had a VHS player in a long time. I think I will wait though, maybe when the new one comes out on DVD it will have both. Thats what they did with War of the Worlds. Els

This is the Pegasus Hobbies UFO kit. The box says it is 1:32 scale but since it is an alien, it can be any scale you want. There are 2 complete kits in the box, but I only built one. I am saving the other for silly week. They are very easy to build. It only took me a couple hours to complete this. These are a great stress relief, sort of the egg plane of Sci Fi. It is hard to take good pictures because the big clear dome reflects all light sources. The kits are pretty cool and they have an excellent little alien pilot. There is a a bit of a cockpit and you can pose the alien to re

frankycee, GreyGhost, Thanks. It would be cool to build a diorama with those small light cycles. Here is a picture of what happened to the base. I hope you can see it in this picture. I decided to try and add another layer, hoping that the fist layer sealed the waxed spots. I thought the second layer might fill in the voids and self level. No such luck, not it looks like it was raining on the grid they day they had to battle. Since I first epoxied the light cycle to the base and then put two layers of the clear, it is not coming off the base for repairs. It is on there very solidly.

Curt, ikar, Thanks for the comments. I was going to use a piece of leftover acrylic sheet that I had for a small light trail. I figured I would just paint it with some Tamiya clear read. The only problem is that I forgot about that when I was cutting the wood for the base. Now it is to short and I had already put to much work into it before I remembered. Time to profit from a lesson that I learned the hardway. The project is pretty much done. The light cycle is all painted. I wasn't really happy with how glossy the base was so today I waxed it. Then I mounted the light cycle to the b
