Thanks for looking. That VF-84 tail shot you posted looks like it is an overall gull gray jet with black/dark gray markings. I had never seen that before and there is a Super Scale sheet that shows markings like that (which I had thought to be incorrect). I had only ever seen pictures of VF-84 in high viz markings, or the TPS gray low viz markings from that period. Very interesting!

Do you have anymore shots of VF-84 during this time frame?

As far as the Tamiya spray paints go, after decanting make sure you let them sit out over night before you spray them. Letting the propellant gas out of the paint is highly recommended. Yes, the bottle will get cold and produce condensation during the decanting process. I would not reccomend airbrushing the paint in that condition. I have had a bottle of paint "fizz" all over the place because I didn't wait long enough for it to gas out before I aggitated it. But yes, greatest thing ever. It's one of the FSD's if memory serves me (old beaver tail with spin shoot housing). The VF-1 markings are completely fictiotious for the airframe (also note upside down ejection seat triangles!).

The nice thing about the KA9 boxing of the RF-4B is that it comes with the thin and thick wings. If memory serves me that red tailed RF-4B has the thin wings. I'll have to check when I get home.

Those markings are in the original boxing of the Hasegawa RF-4B in 1/72nd, kit KA9 I believe...

I endorse Super Clean as well, just wear gloves if you use it at full strenght; it'll dry out your skin something fierce and then you'll have to moisturize for days...

This is vital. Let it sit in an open container over night to gas out. If you cap it right away, the next time you open it it may esplode all over the place (especially with the metalic colors, it happened to me once). I do add a couple of drops of the Tamiya Lacquer thinner just to be safe. Your results may vary.
