Oh for Christ's sake, Japan never flew the F-14, F-117, F4D, F4U, F-16 or F-4B either. Yet, that didn't stop Tamiya from releasing kit of those subjects. Japan doesn't fly the F-35C is the absolute dumbest reason modelers use when they claim Tamiya won't do that version.

    Very good point right there.....

Received mine last Friday, from order to delivery about 10 days.

Does this guy take good care of the packaging? Did your kits' boxes come in excellent conditions, if not perfect, and not full of big dents and creases?

    New CAD renders here

As long as it's not going to be another over-engineered kit like the new F-14B, I'm certainly be in for at least 2; and  then I need to dispose of  my Trumpeter.

Here comes the updated information about L4831.

More than 4 painting schemes for 4 variants(Lima 2013, 2019 and 2023 demo flight Su-30MKM decals are all included).

Pay attention to the Myanmar Su-30SME which has so many formation lights!

I like the first two schemes. The first being the prettiest of the 4, while the second one for east of painting and that I had never done a Malaysian rendition.

  6. Hasegawa calls for FS17875 Insignia White, it's gloss white.

nose gear and folding wings of F-35

This actual picture even shows a pretty good thin vertical line-reflection of the flooring on the gear strut; a flat white surely wouldn't have such kind of reflection.

All you need to do is get the Late A kit, it has all you need to build a B model except for engine cans, which are readily available.

You might be waiting for a while for a Tamiya F-14B. Phase Hanger Resin does an F-14B conversion for the Tamiya kit.

😄 😄 Thanks for the info, I'll definitely check on that.

Common Configuration Implementation Program (CCIP) enabled the 40/42 & 50/52 to perform the wider range of F-16 missions. SEAD to 40/42 with the HTS and full A2G capabilities to the 50/52 that were previously Weasels only. The AF then removed the CG (40/42) and CJ (50/52) suffixes.
I'm watering it down, but between Fred's reply and mine, you hopefully get it.

    Thanks for your response!

I believe it’s an upgrade of block 50 C(J) that moved the HTS pod for shooting HARMS from the right side of intake to the left side and then added in the block 40 targeting pod capabilities onto the right side intake station where HTS was.
That would match up with Hasegawa’s coming release of the CM-50 which provides a left side HTS pod and a Litening AT pod for the right side.

That's exactly where I got the block variant. 😄 Thanks!

  11. Hi! Does anyone know the details (specs that are different from the other variants) for the F-16CM-50? I just couldn't find it on F-16 variants Wikipedia.  What does CM denote? Thanks in advance!

    Hi @flybywire

I was wondering if you could kindly change the title on this thread to: Is Ernie Gee out of business?

I just hate wasting bandwith starting a new thread to which maybe few to no-one is going to reply to, and in view that your thread is still available, I might as well use it for this purpose.

Ernie Gee is the owner of G-Factor Models, and I've been intending to reach out to him to see whether he's still in business.

    Hope you don't mind.

    Thanks a lot.

    Cheers,

    Gwen

Hi Gwen, I don't mind at all; but I guess it'll just create more confusion to the readers, coz they'll be seeing contents that are totally not connected to your title. I guess it will be more prudent to just put up a new thread and let nature takes its course.
