  1. Great Job ...I think you really nailed a dirty, faded look to the OD paint. Love it!!!! Dave
  2. I found these...don't know how accurate they are, but if you have a measuring tool like calipers you can lay out the rivet lines fairly easy...that's what I did. http://i1028.photobucket.com/albums/y350/fullhullfan/P-47D%20Thunderbolt/1-P-47-scaleAviationmodellerp1.jpg http://i1028.photobucket.com/albums/y350/fullhullfan/P-47D%20Thunderbolt/2-P-47-scaleAviationmodellerp1.jpg http://i1028.photobucket.com/albums/y350/fullhullfan/P-47D%20Thunderbolt/3-P-47-scaleAviationmodellerp1.jpg http://i1028.photobucket.com/albums/y350/fullhullfan/P-47D%20Thunderbolt/4-P-47-scaleAviationmodellerp1.jpg h
  3. I can help with that!...PM me with your address if you still need them. Dave
  4. Hi Jon, I'm a relative noob when it comes to Alclad paints (2P-51's and most recent a P-47). I've went through two bottles of Alcad Aluminum and never had a problem. I use MM Lt. Ghost Gray enamel paint thinned 50/50 with Testors thinner as a primer with great results!...I don't think it's the Alclad giving you headaches it's your primer coats. Don't give up on Alclad...you'll never want to use anything else for a NMF! Dave
  5. Hi guys, I could use the decal sheet from the F6F-3 kit,(#JT 34)...If anyone has this decal sheet and won't be useing it, I'd be glad to take it off your hands! Thank you! Dave
  6. Yes and I noticed the menacing demeanor Shane expressed!...he's gonna be trouble! Dave
  7. ...last ones Build log Any and all comments are welcome...Thanks for looking! Dave
  8. Tamiya's P-47M kit was used to build "Ponnie" a P-47D-28-RA of the 64th FS/ 57th FG for the Britmodeler.com P-47 Group Build, the model was typical Tamiya...no major problems with great fit. The NMF is Alclad Alluninum with ModelMaster enamels, aftermarket extras used were Eduard's P-47M Zoom set, True Details resin wheels and Superscale decals. Construction was pretty much strait forward, I did add plumbing detail to the wheelbays with .010"-.020" plastic rod, main gear brake lines and linkage using twist-tie wire, plastic rod belly tank plumbing, fine copper wire and plastic rod details to
  9. Is anybody else getting tired of Shane?...I've been sick of him since before the end of Season 1...the obsesive want for his best friend's wife is disgusting...give it up already!!!...the cowardly shooting of Otis to save himself has him pegging the top of the peice-o-crap meter for me and the new shaved head "bad-***" Shane really has me wanting him gone now. It has always seemed to me he is more of a threat than a protector and with each episode he's becomeing more of a threat to the group (and Rick). I still like the show and plan to tune in every week. Dave
  10. WOW!...getting down low in the grass is nothing for a fighter, but a B-17!!!!!!!...COOL! http://youtu.be/qgd3o--LIyg Dave
  11. WOW!!!!...paint is flawless and the weathering is perfect...great job I love it! Dave
  12. Thanks!!!!! I'm interested in the 1/48 US National Insignia ( stars and bars ) set...tried making them myself with poor results! Dave
