  1. Thanks B-58 I used a 1mm masking tape to make the outlines because it curves a lot easier and applied directly on the model using a reference pic, didn't have to draw it first. White came first (overall) them i masked the area of both grey and black and airbrushed the grey color (even in the areas that was supposed to be black) - After that i masked the grey area and painted black. Hope it helps cheers
  2. I had to google for it, didn't know about these MV Lenses. I guess i'll end up ordering a pack on Ebay thanks for the heads up ChippyWho
  3. Unfortunately i didn't but i can say it was more time consuming than difficult.
  4. Yes, its the wrong color. When i found out about that it was already too late, :bandhead2: But that's ok i'm happy the result anyway
  5. Thanks a lot Zark. Yes, i didn't go 100% accurate on this build. Basically i took the Academy 1:48 Flanker B and dressed it with a SMK camo / decals. You're right about that cockpit area, it was supposed to be flat. I recommend you look at this built - This guy nailed the SMK with every single detail. I used his built as reference for the camo. Thanks for dropping by
  6. Hey thanks Ken ! You're right about these points and i was actually aware of them but was too lazy to make the modifications :P/> :P/> :doh:/> Cheers
  7. Hi guys, *** I had already posted this build in the "Display Case" section but i think i'd like to hear a feedback from all of you experienced modellers out there, so feel free to bash the hell out it ! *** This is my latest build, a SU-27 SMK 1:48 I've been dying to build this bird ever since i saw this paint scheme for the first time. This is an unmodified Academy SU-27 Flanker B with Begemot stencil data + Demo Flankers Decal Sheets Feel free to comment Thanks a lot !
  8. Thanks a lot ! The trick in my case is that i used a 1mm masking tape to make the outlines(which is similar to Tamiya masking tape but with only 1mm width) I didn't even draw the outlines, i just applied the tape straight in the model while looking at a reference pic. After painting i had to do a touch up here and there but it was ok for most of the camo
  9. Thanks a lot guys ! really appreciated
