  1. The F-5 doesn't look too bad. I know its not Tamiya of Hasegawa level, but if their T-37s look that good I'll be more then happy. You got to pick your battles.
  2. I'll be in for a few T-37s, but I believe it when I see it.
  3. I finished the Hasegawa kit a couple of months ago, it looks great, but I didn't enjoy building it, the multi part main gear is very weak and fragile. If I build another one I will go with the Academy kit.
  4. If I built that, I would never risk putting it in the air.
  5. WOW, sounds like your looking for proof of UFOs and Big Foot. Everyone here is telling you facts based on first hand accounts of seeing the real thing. I also can conform that insignia blue is correct for the UASF lettering, I have seen it many times in person. Going by photos for colors are not the way to go, there are too many variables that can make the colors look different then the real thing. Insignia blue is dark, dark, dark, blue and yes, it can look black in photos. Like everyone said look at the insignia, common sense will tell you the the USAF does not paint the stars and bars in
  6. There are a few low vis T-6s in the inventory now, that might be a cool addition to the sheet, I know I want to build a Columbus bird.
  7. I dropped the flaps on a KC-135R , the best photo I found was in one of the AeroFax's book. I do not believe that they changed of modified the flaps when the changed engines. One day I was browsing Ebay and i found a set of aftermarket flaps, I think they where made day Bratz
  8. Its having some problems, its hard to explain, its a Wibbly-Wobbly Timey-Wimey thing. I still haven't learned to fly it, I keep leaving the parking break on, at least that what River tells me.
  9. I don't want one I NEED one of those !
  10. we got the funeral arrangements made today. Sadly my father didn't have much in the way of life insurance, but we plane to sell his truck to cover final expenses. Like I said Dad never had much but he was a master mechanic,if it had a motor here could fix it and make it run. One he took his Ford Ranger pick up and put a Chevy 350 in it and made all the Chevy to Ford conversion parts himself. The greatest gift he gave me and my brother was his knowledge. I remember repairing my first car when I was 10. Over the years when I got my first car (84 Monte Carlo) and drove the wheels off it,blew the e
  11. There are a lot of them on Ebay. I've bought a couple of the South Korean boxings for about 25 bucks from a retailer out of Korea
  12. I would like to thank everyone for their prayers and thoughts at this sad time for me and my family. Dad had had a rough 2 1/2 years with his battle with cancer. He was in great pain till yesterday and after they started hi doses of morphine he slept soundly for the first time since last Thursday. He passed quietly in has haven of sleep around 11:30 this morning. All of this seems unreal, Like every boy I thought my Dad was invincible. I'm sure it will hit me hard in a couple of days. Till then I have arrangements to take care of all his property . Its going to be a long and strange week.
  13. Being price at around 40 bucks isn't bad, I may have to get one.
  14. I thought AFV Club was going to do a 1/48 F-CK-1 Ching Kuo but it was going to be released by a different company.
  15. I'm doing that now, there are two pods by the nose gear, there are parts for them in the kit, but I had to makes a front piece of it since I couldn't find that part in the kit. But Revell announced a GR1 for 2015
  16. Here is where I found it. My link
  17. To build an AMT KC-135E you can get the EC-135 kit, all you have to do it leave off all the parts that are for the EC-135.
  18. I jump in on this one, I have an idea of what I would like to build. Civil Air Patrol O-1 Bird dog 1/48
  19. I love trains, I'm building an N scale layout myself. I work on it when I get tired of airplanes.
  20. To be more correct you'll need a CUCV (Full size Chevy Blazer) and I don't think the B-1s had tail codes back then. So unless there was another way to tie the B-1 to Dyess , No one is going to know the difference. OH and the BDU camo on the Humvee it actually a standard NATO pattern of green, brown and black
  21. I think desert camo will be OK, I remember going to Ft. Stewart before the first Gulf war and all the equipment I saw was already painted in sand. I'm willing to beat that Ft Stewart wasn't the only place like that.
  22. Anyone got a copy of Monograms OA-4M box art that had MARINEIS on the tail?
  23. But are the parts included in the box?? Are they listed as optional in the in instructions?
  24. It took a second, But I see what isn't there now. I guess the situation isn't stable after all.
