  1. If the wing sweep is a couple of degrees off, I won't complain. Now if they made it a straight wing and a two seater and called a F-86D, then I might have a issue
  2. looks like I'm going to have to buy this sheet. I wasn't too happy with the options Revell picked for the sheet.
  3. Thats what I do, when I check out,I just show them my phone.
  4. I picked one up last week at my local Hobby Lobby and I used the coupon too.
  5. I can't tell you what colors I used, I mixed them useing black, white and blue. I just got as close as I can. I built it out of the box and used the kit decals
  6. Edwards AFB chance plane in high vis markings. They have F-16s painted the same way now.
  7. I know what you mean, It wasn't till I was in college that I became a straight A student, we at least till I had to take English 101,102 in my last two semesters.
  8. This is what happens when you spend your time in school sitting in the back of English class drawing airplanes. I can draw great, but can't write worth a darn
  9. Some people can do a flawless Bare metal finish with ease, others have problems. I was just thinking about giving the ones that can't an alternative. But one thing I have to think about is if a good polished aluminum looks can be done at the decal printers. If they can not do that, then its a moot point. Vince
  10. OH, Markings ON bare Metal F-104s, I have been toying with the idea of have metallic decals made to skin a F-104 so one wouldn't have to paint it. I sparted work a couple of years ago on that.
  11. Do it! I was going to draw it and propose it to Vagabond, I just haven't had a chance to draw it. For what is worth, I know the guy that worked it the shop that painted them. I could get you in touch with him.
  12. Most likely your right, but one can dream.
  13. If its a new tooling and its on par with the tornado,I'll be happy to buy a couple!
  14. Thats it, I want one of those when its time for me to buy a new car!
  15. Here you go http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civil_Air_Patrol I've been a member for about 20 years, on and off.
  16. How about a Civil Air Patrol T-6?? http://www.airfields-freeman.com/CA/Airfields_CA_SanFernan_htm_m58bc993f.jpg
  17. Good to see the Civil Air Patrol getting some love. I wish we had one of the GA-8s in our wing.
  18. I didn't think I wanted to build a Gripen until just now, when I saw your link!
  19. Here is my current ride. its a 2006 KIA Sorento with a V6. I love it, its a good truck with plenty of power and other then the usual maintenance I've had no problem. I have to replace the clutch on the A/C compressor, but I have been working on cars fro years, I can take care of it. But I miss this one
  20. I think I can speak for most every decal produced here. When I design a sheet I spend 100's of hours researching the subject. I make sure to colors are right, the fonts are right and text heights are correct. I do several print tests to make sure the decals fit the model they are made for. I do take accuracy seriously and I work hard too show it in my work. I also do the same for my profiles. I know when it comes to instructions and paint guides, companies have been all over the map. Once again I want my work to be accurate and I also want something that would catch the eye and and be intere
  21. When I was doing the artwork for Vagabonds Thunderbird's T-38 sheet, I looked into drawing the patches for the pilots. I didn't do it because once you paint in the seat belts and since most pilots that come with kits have life vest on, there would no way to see the decals on the pilots. So I just did the helmet decal. Now Monogram has a nice standing pilot in their F-5 kits that might work, but I think 1/144 decals are going to be too big for him.
  22. I looked at the pictures of the F-16XL test shots and I could see a seam running across the wings and over the fuselage behind the cockpit. As much as I would like a whole fuselage for single seat or two seat, I think it going to just be a simple inset.
  23. Its not a short shot, the vertical fin only goes up to the fin cap on the right half , the fin cap is molded completely on the left half.
