  1. That's exactly what I'm saying. Yes some would say its band-aid, but I see it as some electric cars could aspire to,at least range wise.
  2. I had an idea , why not build cars like diesel electric locomotives. Have a motor turn an electrical generator at the wheels. if its done right you could run a gas motor sightly above ideal and still have plenty of power to drive with. With the lower RPMs you'll save a good amount of fuel and increase the MPG and range without having to plug up your car.
  3. I have two copies of that issue. the guy in the article used a conversion form Cobra Company . Here is some B-50D drawings. I've been thinking of doing a 3d printed conversion for my Monogram kit https://postimg.cc/dL2wByGV
  4. That is needed. Now someone needs to do the boarding ladders
  5. I'll to look be i have an old issue Scale Modeler that might help. I know it has a naked F-18 on the cover
  6. I'm working on figuring out how to draw panel lines in 3d. I'm sure there is an AutoCad trick to it.
  7. I hate to disappoint anyone that wants one but I'm really not making this for market. I'm still learning the ups and downs of 3D printing and drawing the plane in 3d took over 250 hours. plus the few parts you see took 11 hours to print and I still have landing gear, props and a cockpit to print. One big thing about 3D printing is it really doesn't produce a smooth surface , you can still see the layering of the plastic in that parts. Nothing that Mr Surface and or a thick primer and sanding can't fix. That's fine for me the model builder to do the extra work but I don't think its fair t
  8. Just thought I'd post my first test print of my 1/48 King Air project. I really don't know why I picked this plane, but I just had to have one in my collection. I still have some fine tuning to do on it.. Vince
  9. By chance, does anyone have any photos of the landing gear and the wheel wells? Its for a 3d project I'm working on.
  10. I have hopes of building a King Air in 1/48th scale one day. I did actually think of drawing up a Metroliner, but there are so many things I want to draw and make. I used a Creality CR-10 , I'm still trying to get the hang of it. The part I printed was not to scale and it tool about and hour and a half to print
  11. I went of the deep end and bought myself a 3D printer. I'm still learning the ups and downs but it shows promise. I printed a part I drew in Solidworks.
  12. Collect air did a resin kit in 1/48 long OOP. Combat models as a vac kit of it witch is ok. RHVP has a very nice 1/72 resin kit out there in different versions and markings. I too would love to see an injected molded kit of this plane.
  13. I was pulling for the T-50 since all the testing has already been done. But the Boeing jet is cool too. Hope we get a kit of it someday.
  14. I once had the chance to talk to the BA paint guy, he said they use Krylon paints to do touch ups on the planes. I have a can of the blue he told my they use. I think its something like Navy Blue and Sunflower Yellow.
  15. I wouldn't mind having a copy if that if you can find it.
  16. Long story but I have had the urge to scratch build a 1/'48 737-800. I found cross sections for a 737-100. I know the lengths are different but are the cross sections the same fro 737 classic to 737 Next Gen?
  17. I broke my windscreen ,(long story). I contacted them on Facebook and go ta reply in a couple of hours and a new part in a couple of weeks.
  18. The day we find out the Stealth tape is nothing but duct tape we are are going to have good laugh,,,
