  1. Gareth, In either case, one problem is the gun muzzle. The A-7B had 2x 20mm cannon, while the A-7E has a single M61 Vulcan. Other than that and some antennaes, I reckon it would be fine. Don't think the A-7H uses the AF type receptacle. Try looking at the Concord A-7 book by David F. Brown if you have it. Although both are using Navy variants, they appear to be wearing A-7D type wheels. Jason
  2. Amazing work, cabo91! My hat's off to you. You're going to cast several AAV-7's & Hummers? Looking forward to seeing the progress and the finished dio. Jason C.
  3. Pete, I would be interested in a set. All the more so if you plan to do it in 1/48 for the Revell-Monogram kit as well. Jason
  4. Yeah, Keith. Pictures! We want some pictures! Jason
  5. A black E-2? Well, Northrop Grumman had on display at LIMA '05, a large fibreglass model of a E-2C NP2000 painted black with Malaysian insignia. They also had a 1/48 desktop model of a more conventionally painted one. Jason
  6. Gareth, Try writing to Italeri thru their website at www.italeri.it Friends of mine have written in before requesting for replacement parts for lost or broken items and actually received them. Jason
  7. Mike, Thanks a lot. I'll keep in mind your 'vark experience. So far, it looks like it's going to be a danged expensive affair to build a good F-111F. Jason
  8. Thanks Gordon, Will look thru. Jason
  9. I just landed a sheet of the old Superscale Libyan Raiders decal and picked up an Academy 1/48 F-111F. The kit is sparse and just cries out for some detail. I know Scaledown has done some great stuff which is beyond my budget at the moment. I'm limiting the improvements to be done to: 1) cockpit 2) wheels & landing gear bays 3) tailpipes 4) armament including the Pave Tack pod Anyone know whether some stuff released by Invicta or Paragon are still available and would be grateful if someone could point me in the right direction. Many thanks. Jason
  10. Dann, The recon related part is actually just a clear molded piece that is scabbed on under the nose, and a new NLG door. All the Italeri / Testors kits still include the RF parts irregardless, so most certainly you can build one as a normal F/A-18. Jason
  11. F-4DableModels has just received our consignment of Daco's new F-14 and B-1B books, which will hit the local hobby shop today 15 Apr. Was a Good Friday indeed - the 40 kilo consignment just made it, and then the skies opened up for the rest of the day. Will ship to anywhere in South East Asia & Oceania if requested. PM me if interested.
  12. Jim, Remember this one well. Was just a school kid closely following the news and clipping the articles from the papers then. A couple of weeks ago, I just acquired an old Superscale sheet for the Libyan Raiders Jason
  13. George, I don't have what you're looking for, but for all it may be worth, Squadron has a vacform F-111 canopy meant for the Academy F-111, which may work for you? It would have the more correct profile at least. Jason
  14. cabo91, Let me be the first to say in a post that this is an amazing piece of work in progress! Looking forward to see more. Jason
  15. Jackman, I think the book is called "Super blue", or something. I seem to recall it, but never had the cash to buy it either, since I was still in school then. Jason
  16. Doesn't look as if the wings will be able to clear the surrounding wall! Is it a full sized replica?
  17. Yessir, I'll second that! Did a major deal with Bob, and everything came as advertised. Jason
  18. Yes, I believe so. Recall seeing some pictures in J-Wings magazine of F-4EJ Kai's dropping bombs at a firepower demo in Japan. I also understand that JASDF 8 Sqn.'s (Black Panthers) EJ Kai's are anti-ship tasked after they took over from the F-1's formerly operated by the sqn.
  19. The photo indicate the IFF 'pizza' box on the nose, so hopefully this discounts the Italeri kit. Could it possibly be a Pro-Modeler type release?
  20. The R-M website currently spotlights a 1/48 F/A-18E due for release in March with the product code as above. The new tool F/A-18E released last year is also listed in their catalog as product no. 85-5519. Can anyone shed some light as to the 'new release'? Why another E and not a F? Just curious, Jason C.
  21. Darren, Fine by me to pack my order 3 sets of BOL in one bag. Jason
  22. Bill, Small bit of trivia: Some of the A-4L's (and A-4C's) ended up here with the Royal Malaysian Air Force as A-4PTM's, still with the camel hump. Hope that you've been recovering well. Jason
  23. Just ordered three sets of BOL rails yesterday. Looking forward to 'em. Jason C.
  24. Warning - Shameless plug! F-4DableModels does have decals for Swiss, Finnish and Malaysian F/A-18D's (also Spanish EF-18A/:thumbsup: in 1/32 scale. Jason
  25. F-4DableModels did at one time help push a resin MiG-29N IFR Probe made by T-ger Products (another Malaysian guy) in 1/48 & 1/32, which could be posed extended. The item was only sold domestically, as it was a home-cast quality product. Been trying to get them to churn out another batch for a while now, and will post here, when I finally see some production pieces in my hand. Jason F-4DableModels
