  1. Another option would be to find out from your local dentist where they get their compressor from. I have a Junair which I got second hand from work, totally silent, uses a pump much the same as a fridge. I can fill the tank on it and work for a few hours before it has to fill again. If your lucky you may find a supplier who has just had a trade in and get it cheap.
  2. You can fit more chicks in a 740 Estate.
  3. Would love a copy if possible, missed out on going this year and really wanted to see the Green Lions display. That and my best friend was launching the F-111, would have liked to catch up with him too. Chris
  4. Any chance of a copy, didn't get to go this year thanks to a lack of available funds.
  5. 143 got lifted off the runway last night (Friday) and moved into a hanger so the investigators can look at the main gear and the airframe guys can check the damage.
  6. Don't know about his first flight or not, but he has only been at 1 Sqn for 2 weeks. Apparently it wasn't a Wing Commanders car, but a Boeing employee.
  7. Red truck looked to be civil Aviation Rescue and Fire Fighting units, they had plenty of time to pull them in from somewhere else. As an aside, apparently the main wheel that came off wrote of a Wing Commanders car. Aircraft involved was RF-111C A8-143.
  8. May want to check that info too there Ross, as since the S-76 lease started there has been one permanently detached to East Sale in support of the Roulettes operations. Also one at Pearce AFAIK. My understanding with the NH-90's was that they were getting an initial batch to replace the Huey's and then phasing in the rest of the Army order as the Blackhawks were retired on their original schedule between 2011 and 2015.
  9. Jeez, I wish, all I got was a slap across the back of the head as soon as she saw the words FOR SALE and a photo of an aircraft cockpit. I DIDN'T EVEN SAY A WORD!!!!!!
  10. Warm and fuzzy would be my guess. :-)
  11. How can you cut the list down to one moment....... Point Cook, can't remember the year. Aircraft Research and Development Unit bought their 'Fanta Can' Mirage III over for the airshow, it came in over the fence at dot feet, pulled vertical at centre stage and disappeared out of sight doing aileron rolls the whole way. I have had nothing but respect for that plane ever since I saw that. Avalon Airshow '95. Privately owned Mig-21 flew directly over my head at 50ft and 0.99M, actually feeling the shockwave from that was one of the most intense experiences I have ever had at an airshow. At t

This is about as far as hand signal go from the RAAF at airshows down here.
  13. TRY HERE JackMan, this site works with a few streaming video sites including Youtube and Google.
  14. I would say that in the case of this photo the telephoto effect of the lens is making it look like the Pig is closer to the building than it actually is. Having been ot Surfers Paradise a few times I know that there is a very large number of high rise appartment buildings along the beach, mostly concentrated around the area where this photo would have been taken. The RAAF, Army and Navy have very strict rules about flying close to built up area's and their pilots stick to those rules. As for the SUU, the Indy Festival goes for 4 or so days in Surfers and that photo may have been taken on on
