  4. Re: "Is it giving the parents more of a headache with regards mess etc?" To My Mom & Dad- Thank you for your patience with my modeling! Thank you for the kits you bought for my birthdays and christmas'. Thanks for paying attention to my interest and encouraging me. I am now 44 years old, a licensed Airframe and Powerplant mechanic, and Engineer. I attribute my livelihood today to the early days of modeling and restoring motorcycles and cars. My father still wants to see photos of my finished builds and will pass them around work via email. My youngest daughter is taking a technical p

  6. I recenlty bought a bagged builder kit at our annual show last summer and found a partial Microscale sheet the same day. Just haven't been inspired yet. Glad to hear this is on the horizon!
  7. Bruce- sorry that I did not see this response. I have been watching for messages in the messenger. they come directly to my personal email. If you click on my user name another window should open up and there should be a line "send me a message" and that is a tool where we can communicate privately. I will send a message to you through that messenger with a response. -Mike

  13. You would be surprised! I have done a lot of wreckhunting where I grew up near Edwards AFB in CA and now in my new home of Northern Utah. Ended up finding out that a P-82 Twin Mustang crashed into my neighbor's house in the 50's. Thanks for the link! I would like to check out that B-36 a little farther out of the coast of SD.
  14. Just in case you did not know....The Italeri kits ARE the AMT kits. They bought the moulds. The Italeri kits do have newer, better decals but if you are going to use aftermarket the plastic is all the same.
  15. Updated 2/24/15 oh-dark-thirty (updated and cleaned up old list, added new found boxes of kits.) (My apologies to all those who have already purchased from me and may find something more, or that find a kit I did not have....i.e. I found more F-16's and A-6E's. I tried to get everything up at one time!) Over the past few years I have bought and sold collections of kits and kept throwing stuff that I would "deal with later" into boxes and I am ready to make some room. I have listed these with as much detail in the description as I can for the price I am selling them for. My intention with

  17. Fred- I have a bagged Airfix AC-47 from the stash I bought we could see if the clear parts fit-
  18. I set myself a goal that I would report in regularly on this build to keep myself motivated (and not distracted on other kits as well). I still need to set up a photobucket account and take some shots of the build, hope to get to that this week. I had a slew of kits that closed on ebay this week so a lot of free time was spent taking car of that! Progress this week: 1) Got the white undersides painted, had to do some research on what the undersides of the wings and stabs looked like. Found some balck and white photos in the "B-47 In Action" book that show that the entire underside was not
