The actual movie prop for the ground scenes from Con-Air is sitting out at Wendover Airfield west of Salt Lake City, Utah. I need to find my photos because you guys would probably get a kick off of some of the features! It is pretty much a C-123 hulk grafted on to either a bus or truck drivetrain. It is funny to see drive shafts out to the wheels, a truck steering wheel in the cockpit, air brakes, etc. etc.... There is plenty around on the net, but here is a link that explains what they used to film-

Thanks to all! That looks like a sheet that will work for me!

I was looking into getting a make and take box for our cub scout pack meeting in February....I only need 10-15 kits of any snap-tite airplane that might be out there, the make and take boxes are 40 kits. It is $60 for the box of 40 kits. (a more than fair price but we just don't need the quantity. Anyone out there that may have some leftovers from a make and take kit that I can purchase? Anyone else in the same boat as me looking for a smaller quantity for an event that may want to share a box? Thanks- Mike

I've put the Viggen in the queue to build soon, I have always wanted one in the "splinter" greens / brown /black paint they had in the 80's. The kit decals (especially the roundels / Kronen?) are horribly out of registration. Looking for any suggestions on aftermarket decals that could be used. Thanks- Mike

Thanks for your response! Warmer and fuzzier with 1st hand knowledge- I also have a set of the 1/72 737 engines that I bought off eBay but did not realize they were Contrail. Thanks-

Trying to decide on popping $30 or not for the Contrails Resin engine set- The one photo I have seen of them (thier website) I can't tell if they are optical dillusions but it looks like the hub is off-center, the fanblades are not smooth.... Can anyone offer thier review? Thanks-

I managed to power through building this beast- I know the feeling of loosing a few pieces along the way and felt that this could maybe help someone out there. What I have: 1) The spare British Airways Decals- (1976-1984 & 1985-1997) I used the most modern version. This is just the unused part of the sheet, does not include any of the common markings. 2) The Rubber tires & wheels (missing one of the main wheels)- I used the Airwaves resin set 3) The fiddly bits from the nose hinge mechanism. I glued mine in place & did not use them. PM me if interested and we can work a de

So I committed the sin of not thoroughly checking a kit I bought at our recent show. I am missing an entire sprue "E" It is the one that has 1/2 of the engines, pylons and hound dog missile. Any one out there have this sprue to spare? Any one out there need the parts of the kit that I have? PM me- Thanks!

I meant to get a thumbs up in earlier- now it is easy to jump on the thread and say I had a great experience too! Prompt shipping and well packaged! Good deal! Thanks!

One of my mechanics here at work was a EA-6B Prowler mechanic / crew chief for 20 some years. When asked the question, he says he recalls the change happening in the early 90's. But he was stumped why a modeller would care....He says he believes the modification from GRU-5 to GRU-7 was the addition of the command eject feature which would sequence the crew correctly upon initiation from any of the four seats in an effort to prevent fatal collisions btween any of the four crew or seats. Says the Inturder is the same. The modifications are only visible in the form of an additional sequencing
