The new tooled is Airfix Mustang is a beautiful kit . Finished the model in Ed Heller's markings of the 352nfd FG . Model painted with Mr Color , Xtreme airframe Aluminum and tamiya paints . just finished this morning. Used a circle tool to make my own mask for the Hinoamru's , Model painted with mr color and tamiya paints . For the chipping effect i used the tamiya INJ green airbrushed thinned with Tamiya thinner. Once dry i chipped the paint with tape and tooth picks . Fresh off the bench 10,000 Grumman built Hellcat . Paint with Mr color paints, mig wash. Aftermarket ites LF Models decals and eduard Brassin Resin Wheels . Slight issue on the decals tonight. The decals on the nose and other area Had disintegrated when I was trying to use mr mark softer decal set . No real way to fix it so I decided to use 2000 grit sand paper to make it looking like there was wear & tear on the various markings . I lightly sanded the areas and whammy problem Solved . I just used Tamiya German grey mixed with some whita. I tried the metallic mix and no luck . So i just used grey 🙂

Steel Beach resin Intake and exhaust covers ,Sometime soon she will have weapons. Did this as a clean build . It come with the 1/48 Tamiya F4U-1D that also includes pilot and moto tug

This FG-1A was delivered to the Islands with the wing folding part removed , wings bolted shut, wing folding area filled in. Tail hook was removed and area metaled over . Model was painted with Mr color paints . Scheme was one off and had to do it. Decals used was from Fundekals . Just finished her today. Love the marking on this one. Different then the typical ones you always see wi the big star and bars . I used the Kits world decals. I mixed my own Tamiya gull grey . Yes that is the Zoukei-mura carrier deck 🙂

Finally completed this two year shelf of doom project. Eduard ( Academy ) F-4B with the Eduard Resin Wheels , Burner cans and ejection seats. Used the Yankee Station Mig kill decals. Painted with Tamiya paints and Mig wash .
