  1. She looks to be a real BEAUTY. Based on previous completed build posted
  2. I will assess my own observations on the kit when I have one in hand. Based on my 15 years of experience with 1:1. I have a pretty clear picture of what is right/wrong with what is in plastic.
  3. You mean the 1/32 Revell, and the Monogram Uh-1B/C is a bang- up kit, even if it is alittle heavy on the panel lines and rivet details. I think I have over a dozen of this kit. You can really have a blast building and detailing this GEM. The level of the build is totally up to you. And as far as accuracy it's pretty DAMN good, hands down.Considering when this kit was made, it is notable that it is still in production and circulation. As well as the Italeri UH-1D/H My wheat penny cent
  4. I knew we as a "Helicopter" Loving Crew, could count on you Floyd.!!!!! KUDOS
  5. LET'S be honest ,this will be the best UH-1D/H Huey we've had in over 30 years period. Good or Bad
  6. Excellent build !! Gotta love the concept, no Tail rotor. Now Lets see a Ka-52 from the Revell Ka-50
  7. Gotta give USMC Kudos for that Brain Fart that took over 30 years to develop. Now we have the ABOMINATION CV-22
  8. Actually first time it's been done to this extent. Although the original UH-1 & AH-1 only shared rotors & engine
  9. Correct; The UH-1Y and AH-1Z share Main rotor,Tail Rotor,Tail Boom, Engines & drive line. Which means Less Tax $$$, and easier Logistics on board LSH
  10. Gary; The Skyraider is my most FAV fixed-wing. I have 28 Raiders kits. As for 48th you have (4) from ESCI,(3) from Italeri,(2) from Tamiya,(2) from Monogram. In plastic for Korean, u have AD-4,AD-4Q/N/L/W,AD-5. Tamiya's kits are Viet Nam era, where as all the others are Korean/Viet Nam. Revell /Monogram re-released the AD-5 about 4 years ago, which is the 4 seater. It has a lot of possibilities as far as convers. There are various update/conversion sets from Cobra,True details,Quickboost,Scale Aircraft Access.,and Aires. Also Metal landing gear is available. The major difference
  11. Correct!, I wasn't talking about anything else but the UH-1Y in 1/48th. The fuselage, is made up of nose, mid, tail boom, and engine covers, roof. Totally unlike any other Helo w/ side to side type fuselage parts
  12. Because I am Huey blood, from my begining of US Army service. I waited with MAXX ANTICIPATION for the Kittyhawk UH-1Y. I bought one, and I can HONESTLY say, GREAT job. I think the greatest challenge will be mating the multi piece fuselage, for acceptable results when complete. The Good point is that this approach of assembly, opens the ability to add more detail or mods for engines, or interior details. ALL in ALL GREAT KIT. Can't wait to get the AH-1Z
  13. That's not corrosion thats a WHOLE LOT of TERA FIRMA
  14. FOD = Foreign Object Damage
  15. Of note: 300 aircrew purple hearts and 500+ VC
