  3. Day 5.5 Hurricane Isaac progress: anti-glares, props, wheels
  4. Day 5: (Life took day 4) Decals on
  5. Day 3: Alclad over bare plastic. I never was one to follow the rules...
  6. Day 2: Bernie did a very good job on the seams. I just added some Mr. Surfacer 500.
  7. One of our original Pelikan members, Bernie Schultie worked at Martin in Baltimore during WWII. He met his wife there. Late in WWII he was a P-51 pilot. Now he is flying his final missions at a nursing home. I was given 4 of his started kits to build and consider it a real honor. This B-26 is the only game in town. Bernie made a great start on it. This is the kit as I received it. More here: http://www.percongrp.com/pelikan/aircraft/b26_bs_ms.htm
  8. 1/32nd P-26 from Hasegawa with Yellow Wing decals More here: http://www.percongrp.com/pelikan/aircraft/p26_32_ms.htm
  9. The stand is from the ancient Lindberg F11C biplane.
  10. Dragon 1/144th X-15 Nice kit when done but the building experience was rather disappointing. The instructions are very poor. There are parts missing ("A" shaped part at base of fin, for example). No painting instructions that I could find. The USAF decals are all separate pieces. To an experienced modeler these issues can be overcome. I would assume the target audience for these small, inexpensive kits is younger modelers that may be confused and unhappy with their experience. 11. 17th Pursuit Group flight line at March Field, California in the mid 1930's. Academy / Hobbycraft 1/48th P-26's and the splendid Yellow Wings Decals set. More here: http://www.percongrp.com/pelikan/aircraft/p26_3_ms.htm
  12. The new Dragon 1/144th X-1. Used my ancient Pactra International Orange and once stirred up it came out beautifully. More here: http://www.percongrp.com/pelikan/aircraft/x1_144_ms.htm
  13. A few more shots from my Revell Corsair. More here: http://www.percongrp.com/pelikan/aircraft/corsair32_ms.htm
  14. Corsair fini. Old Revell 1/32 Corsair. I got the kit started but it was a very enjoyable build. Please take some time to read about and honor Medal of Honor recipient Major Kenneth Walsh, USMC, : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kenneth_A._Walsh (Will have to retake cockpit shots tomorrow as I am losing light here at Chez EZ.)
