I think Darren offers a set through his Steal Beach line. It should show up on Sprue Brothers. Cheers, -Doug

Hi guys, I was wondering if anybody out there would happen to know what the diameter of the main and nose wheel tires are on the F-106? I am working on mine (1/48), and the main wheels seem a bit skinny to my eye. Also, what color are the LG struts and the wheel/weapon bays supposed to be? The instructions say white for the struts (seems like I have seen them silver), and medium green for the bays. All the pictures I have seen look more like interior green (same question for the F-101 too I guess). Thanks for your help. Cheers, -Doug

As far as I know, Black Box made a cockpit, and Lone Star does some updates as well - I think both a cockpit and a gear well set. I am not aware of anything else. Cheers, -Doug :)

Hey guys, I am glad you aprove. The final price should be pretty close. It all depends on how many pulls I can get, rejects, etc. I try make sets as affordable as I can. Sounds good to me! I have got something else you might be interested in as well, voodoo related ..... " :) Cheers, -Doug :) -
Hey Ken, Yes, you can build it OOB as a -2, but not a -1. Cheers, -Doug

At the moment, I think they are going to be about $22.00. With so many wheels in one set, they take alot of material to make. I think when I weighed them out, it is around 40-50g of resin per set. That is twice the amount in my F-14 tanks! I will be in line for some of that :P Cheers, -Doug -

Yep, I am in the process of casting the wheels now. Here is a picture, and the thread I started is here. They take a ton of resin per set. Cheers, -Doug :) -
Yep, Jeff has great service. Once I bought 2 Hawk U-2A kits from him. I paid, and they were ready to go. He emailed me to say that he looked the kis over once more, and one of them had a few parts assembled, so he refunded my money for that one, and still sent both kits Great service if you ask me. Cheers, -Doug

Hey Paul, I have started the F-101, and I think that the kit's panel lines are pretty much dead on. I think you could just go by the kit lines, and you will be just fine. I know that doesn't answer your question though. If you want some wheels I can hook you up..... Cheers, -Doug :)

As long as it is complete, it should be fine. A lot of people just put their kits in a bag and throw away the box to save space. Cheers, -Doug :P

What about the ones from the Hasegawa SH kits? They have separate fins, which I like. Cheers, -Doug

Yea, those exhausts are nothing short of amazing! I would take Shawn's over the AIRES parts any day  Cheers, -Doug
-
Aren't the legacy tanks different from the Mud Hen tanks? Cheers, -Doug
-
Do they carry the -F? I've only seen the -E at both places. Cheers, -Doug
-
The AIRES sets DO NOT include the fairing, so don't give them away! By the way, the exhaust tubes don't fit in the fairings, so be prepared for some sanding.... Cheers, -Doug :)
