  1. This is an excellent thread, I have just spent 1 1/2 hrs reading the drooling..... could do with a few more civve ones though.....? I have a few but not official Bell pics, or prototypes.....
  2. Gertjan, I have recently made contact with a fellow in England who is doing some for me......
  3. Thanks Chris, I better get one... and probably another Italeri 212....not sure I want to wait for or convert an expensive new kit yet.....😓
  4. Yeah, that's the kit I have in my stash, I hope to make it a civil bird, one that flies forest fires locally.....so unfortunately the Military decals won't work too well... the after market guys make some decals, but not a lot of variety out there , it is getting better though....
  5. Gertjan, I build mostly civil models as well, where do you get your decals? or do you make them? Jeff
  6. no bad comments here, looks good to me.... Jeff
  7. http://www.belcherbits.com/lines/148conv/bb8.htm This is the one I am thinking of getting, as far as I know the only one out there in 1/48 scale...
  8. Chris, I'm thinking of getting Mike's 412 conversion, is it as good as his other stuff??
  9. Seems to me, that there are a few of you out there that have an ear to the ground, ans know or can find out all sorts of cool stuff, so my question is, does anyone have a rough idea other than 'later this year" what a possible time line might be for the new KittyHawk 212 and the Italeri 206? I do go to theirs sites and facebook page, although I'm not a Facebooker, and there is nothing mentioning any possible target dates..... just curious, and highly anticipating some cool stuff.....
  10. Actually, when we really look at it, helicopters of ALL sorts are very under represented, in pretty much any scale.... oh yeah there are some, but it seems no matter which manufacturer or machine they decide to model, there are always many inaccuracies, and I get there are as many mods to any given machine as the number of machines out in the real world, but sometimes they can't even get the basic shape correct, which would be a good place to start................ the 1/32 Bell '206' from Revell comes to mind as a prime example................ just my 2 cents worth......
  11. Well, there is a set that closely represents those pop up float skids in the old Italeri 1/48 scale OH-58 Kiowa kit #2624.................. actually that kit has all 3 types of skid gear, low skids, high skids, and what is a reasonable facsimile of the pop up float skids you are asking about............ I am assuming you are asking about 1/48 scale.......... also they may require a little more detailing, if one wants an accurate set, where the cross tubes join the skid gear it self, there is no detail it is flat ( on the TOP of the skid itself) the bottom has the correct angles so one would ha
  12. I am SO excited about this, I can't wait, I am working on the 1-D right now converting it to a 205 for Conair Helicopters, and am chomping at the bit for this, I may have to buy multiples of this, I see Northern Mountain Helicopters, Canadian Helicopters, and Wildcat Helicopters at the every least, not to mention many more.......................... any word on when this may possibly hit the shelves?? This along with a NEW 206 from Italeri, my day is made !!! I just hope it is a REAL 206 and not a chopped up hybrid Kiowa........ Jeff
