  1. Not to nit pick, but, they are called main landing gear fairings and they house a vibration absorber, and it wont really help at all in any kind of landing. As a retired UH-60 crewchief and technical inspector, I just thought I'd pipe up. I think you and I were both in Hawaii back when there was a bad day for our respective units.
  2. Dragon announced the release of the modified UH-60s used to cap Bin Laden. When the Pakis announced they had allowed the Chinese to look at the tail rotor pylon before they returned it, everyone feared it was the Chinese military that was looking at it. Apparently it was actually Dragon. LOL http://www.foxnews.com/us/2011/06/02/chinese-toy-company-makes-replica-stealth-chopper-used-in-bin-laden-raid/?test=faces Looks interesting. Hopefully 1/48th and even 1/35 cant be far behind. Mog
  3. If its too hard to sing, if its beyond your skill set, then tell them no when they ask you to sing it and they will find someone else. Too easy. If they asked me to do it, I would say no, I cant do it. If you ask me they should have had the cactus cuties do it. Mog
  4. Thanks. Sorry Im so late. Mog
  5. I dont want to nitpick, but there is a vent type of thing under the sliding pylon screen and you really cant see much in there. Looks good though.
  6. I submit for your consideration, Ft Drum NY.
  7. Your doing a great job, I look forward to your next update. Mog
  8. Fantastic work! You're definately making great strides correcting the HIRSS. If you are still working on it, I would recommend lower the HIRSS along its longitudinal axis. I made another picture for reference for you. Wherther you make this adjustment or not, I say your doing a great job and hope I do as good a job when I try to build my 'hawk in the future. Believe me getting the HIRSS right is a lot of work. I wish some hero would put out a nice resin replacement for this aberration. Mog
  9. Yes, your doing a great job, keep forging ahead. Note the HIRSS is slightly higher then the doghouse and slopes downward as it extends aft at about the same angle as the doghouse. Thats one thing that goofs up the look of the kit, the way they molded the kit, the dang HIRSS sticks up at an absurd angle. I know it sounds like Im fixated on it, but thats only because you havent heard me rant about other stuff they messed up. Here is a couple of shots of the HIRSS near the doghouse. This one may or may not help determine the horizontal angle of the HIRRS HTH, Mog
  10. There isnt any screen inside the vent inboard of the HIRSS. All you see if you look in there is the firewall on the side of the APU. As for the Main Mod, I would say it looks a lot like this: Sorry the last ones are so fuzzy. Hope this helps. I have more Blackhawk pRon. let me know if you need something, I may be able to help. The only suggestion I have regarding the kit is that the HIRSS need to be sloped downwards toward the aft side to retain the classic Blackhawk lines. This is one of my (many) gripes with the kit, and one of the main reasons I havent started mine yet. Im
  11. 15 pages of UH-60 pics only a modeller could love, example: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v469/Mogwa/?start=160 Any ?s just ask. Mog
  12. US Army UH-60s M/R and T/R blades are flat black. The tip cap leading edges are aluminium colored. It is possible to make the rare find of a OD green T/R blade, but this is easily the exception not the rule. Mog
