Windex which seems to be a choice of most for airbrush cleaning doesn't seem to be available in the uk Does anyone know the equivalent of it in the uk or if not, what properties does it contain?

Looking for some basic info guys. What's the best type of paint to use for a base coat? What's the best colour to use for base coats to models? What's best to clean the airbrush? I'm in sickles alcohol is hard to find, is surgical spirit ok? Any tips very welcome
