What are those yellowish resin blocks on the front end of the ascent stage? I've not seen those before.

Will you guys be making the retractable service tower? http://www.ninfinger.org/models/vault/atlas-mercury%20photo.jpg http://www.capcomespace.net/dossiers/espace_US/mercury/installations/LC14%20KSC-63-MA9-135.jpg http://www.capcomespace.net/dossiers/espace_US/mercury/installations/LC14%20ServTwr.jpg

You need to extend the MLP further aft. It looks too short in length to me. Any tips for a 1/72 scale version? :) -
I used Model Master's Chrome Yellow for my ET. The lighter tones are using Testor's flat yellow. This is if you wish to show the ET fresh from the factory or during rollout to the pad.

I hope you make the styrene kit available for us to get Yasa. :)
-
That is very helpful as all my orbiters have this problem on keeping the doors shut.

I just glued the windows on as is and put a paper thin styrene strip over it to make the windows more accurate. http://fc06.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2011/358/d/0/challenger_windows_by_onigojirakaiju-d4k3j3x.jpg http://fc02.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2012/027/d/b/left_side_of_columbia_model_by_onigojirakaiju-d4nr4so.jpg This works as the windows put on as is are sunk into their frames. The styrene strip fills this in so they are even like on the real orbiter.

This looks great man. :) -
Yep, that box. http://i1096.photobucket.com/albums/g334/maly149/100_3696.jpg It's not there when it's ready to launch. Only rollout ops.
-
The small generator seen in the last photo that has the four vents on the top is only there for rollout, not during launch. Though, I have no idea what the generator is used for during rollout.

What color would work to get that color seen in the photo? It looks like a light brown, tan color on the side of the aft fuselage. Discovery also has this light brownish tint as seen in the Columbia photo. http://www-pao.ksc.nasa.gov/kscpao/images/medium/2012-1711-m.jpg Atlantis too http://www-pao.ksc.nasa.gov/kscpao/images/medium/2012-1730-m.jpg Endeavour barely has any tint on it's fuselage at all. http://www-pao.ksc.nasa.gov/kscpao/images/large/2011-6426.jpg
