  1. Why would it have dark blue parts? I think itโ€™s just a fresh coat of Gunship Gray on some parts they had to replace at the depot level restoration in Oklahoma. Tinker AFB and other sites have high resolution photos that clearly show the color to be plain old Gunship Gray. https://theaviationgeekclub.com/ghost-rider-and-wise-guy-the-only-two-b-52h-bombers-regenerated-from-boneyard-undergoing-simultaneous-maintenance-at-oklahoma-city-air-logistics-complex/
  2. I guess it is fine if you like red SAC shields ๐Ÿ™‚
  3. Thanks for posting the link here : he has many great photos on Flickr but almost never mentions the actual aircraft type or use tags, so it is impossible to find them over there with my regular search methods.
  4. The F-104 Basics sheet is not yet ready - I will send this to be printed sometime in the summer. Hypersonic Models is working on an NF-104A conversion - I am sure Jeffrey will let us know when it will be ready.
  5. Very nice indeed! Dark Vipers V design is pretty much set in stone right now - but this will be on the 1/72 scale Dark Vipers 3 coming very soon, and eventually on a Dark Vipers 6. The KC-10 reprint is what it is : a straight reprint, sorry. I am hoping there will be an injection molded KC-10 sometime in the future, at which point I will do a brand new sheet.
  6. So - any thoughts? Who's building the first one?
  7. I will reprint the KC-10 sheet in the next batch, but will consider reprinting this one in the next batch or so.
  8. May releases are: CD72111 - 1/72 FB-111A "Dark Varks" CD144027 - 1/144 B-52 "Tall Tail Stratofortresses" CD72023 - 1/72 ANG F-4C/D (reprint) CD48118 - 1/48 U-2A/C (reprint) June releases are: CD72090 - 1/72 P-3 Orion Part 1 CD72162 - 1/72 A-4M Skyhawk CD72154 - 1/72 RF-8 Crusader Part 1 CD48236 - 1/48 F-16 "Dark Vipers" Part 5 CD144016 - 1/144 KC-10 Extender (reprint)
  9. Now on the front burner - I hope to be able to release this in the summer. Mostly the colorful, early service high-visibility jets, but a couple with the subdued national insignia during the transition phase to low-vis markings. I will try to cover interesting examples as usual, and a separate stencilling sheet will be available in the Basics lines. A 1/72 version will not be far behind.
  10. Very cool stuff - please keep them coming. A while ago I decided that I did not have enough interesting subjects to pull off an AH-1G/S sheet; but it looks like I will have to think about one now. The A-7s are very cool; and I am sure a few of them will be on the upcoming USAF/ANG A-7 sheet.
  11. I really did not intend to do an F-104 Early Years sheet, but you are right that this sheets covers a lot of what should be on it.
  12. No, I think I am good. I am working on it from time to time.
  13. I know for a fact that Turkish F-16 drag chutes are made in Turkey. There might have been a few "standard" drag chutes earlier, but I don't think there is such a thing as a worldwide standardized F-16 drag chute. There are multiple NATO stock numbers (NSN 1670-01-406-3309, NSN 1670-01-457-3562, etc.) for F-16 drag chutes, which leads me to believe that there are several designs that are manufactured by many different companies.
  14. I am shipping them but it will take a few more days to pack and finish all. Some patience would be appreciated.
  15. I have looked everywhere for clearer photos of these when I was designing the sheet. I donโ€™t think another Vietnam era Skyraider sheet is in the cards, but this would have been a great addition.
  16. Not really - you have used the correct ejection seat. By the time the CF-104s were repainted in the Turkish camouflage scheme in the early 1990s, all of the fleet had already been equipped with the MB seats that were removed from the F-104Gs that were retired earlier. There were no Turkish CF-104s still flying with the Lockheed seat after approx. 1992 or so. Excellent build!!
  17. Thanks for the huge interest in this sheet - sold a bunch in the first few hours. I have already received several e-mails roasting me for erroneously calling these "NASA NF-104s", so no need to send me another one: put that keyboard away and enjoy the anticipation. ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks again!
  18. Ready for preorder now, in both scales: https://caracalmodels.com/cd48233.html https://caracalmodels.com/cd72155.html
  19. All of the new releases are ready for preorder now: CD48233 - 1/48 F-104 "Test & Drone Zippers" CD72060 - 1/72 F-16 Dark Vipers - Part 1 (reprint) CD72064 - 1/72 F-104 in Vietnam (reprint) CD72132 - 1/72 QF-4 "Team Target" CD72148 - 1/72 A-10 "The Early Years" CD72155 - 1/72 F-104 "Test & Drone Zippers"
  20. Don't miss this excellent 1/72 F-105G from Britmodeller: https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235137396-172-f-105g-thunderchief/
  21. Awesome Skyshark - really unusual and cool.
  22. Beautiful Rafale! It looks great in this scheme, and I really like the in-flight presentation.
  23. You must be a surgeon of some sort!! Impressive work - I will be following it with interest.
  24. Thanks for opening the thread before I did it - I really like how proactive our community is : ). Unfortunately my latest batch of decals I planned for February are still being printed in your beautiful country, so my March releases are what I promised for February earlier. I will soon announce the next batch of decals I will be releasing in April (if everything goes according to plan)
