  1. I am sure some of their kits are original molds; but many of their kits are copies (or perhaps reboxes, authorized or otherwise) of other manufacturer's kits. Their 1/32 F-5E could be found dirt cheap, and is essentially an exact copy of the Hasegawa 1/32 F-5E kit. My "Kangnam Style" F-5E matches the Hasegawa kit completely, , part by part.
  2. What's the contraption installed in the front cockpit? Is it some sort of IFR training hood?
  3. I have Indiana, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota,Texas and more in the works. With the release of the Academy F-4B, the Navy guys are having all the fun. I want to play too, and hopefully Academy will release an F-4C/D without too much delay.
  4. Hi Mike, Sorry, it was somewhat late to add the drone numbers to the F-102 Case X sheet. I will definitely add them if the first sheet does well and I decide to do a Case XX sheet.
  5. Just do a Google search for United Airlines Pantone and you'll find their logo guidelines, which says the official color is Pantone 286. I don't have my color fan decks with me, but Perbang (http://www.perbang.dk/rgb/0039A6/) should provide some clues for what the best match would be.
  6. Caracal Models will gladly be a sponsor if this group build happens.
  7. Most of you in the US should have received your T-45 sheets by now(unless you ordered them with the F-15 sheets, which have just started shipping a couple days ago). Let me know what you think. I received some questions about instructions sheet for the bonus CoNA sheet: there will be no printed instruction sheet; there will be a printable PDF instruction sheet at the Web site printed on the bonus sheet.
  8. I have one, and it is a very good kit in every respect. It looks excellent to me; but I'm sure it will soon get "Laurentized" and its many, many horrible flaws will come to light one by one ;-). It comes in a surprisingly small box, smaller than the box of Revell's 1/72 Mig-21F-13. It has an open electronics bay, very decent cockpit detail, rubber tires and a small PE fret. The decal sheet is actually half decent. One disappointment that I had was that the kit was publicized as a "Mig-21F-13/J-7"; and some of the sprue shots clearly showed later J-7 parts like the two-part windhshield/cano
  9. Thanks for suggesting the idea for the extra mermaids..The actual stencil indeed does have the accent, every little stencil on the real aircraft seem to have been painted meticulously and it's clear your countrymen are taking good care of these aircraft. But the font I used for some of the stencils does not have the Polish character set, so most of the stencils on the sheet don't have the right accents. My estimate is that that "NIE STAWAĆ" stencil is painted with a 40mm stencil on the real aircraft, and is about 0.83mm high (0.033 in for those who don't do metric) in 1/48. I hope Polish-speak
  10. ..and here's the second sheet. In addition to the markings on the Pisarek jet, this one has a few extra 1 ELT "mermaid" nose art in two different styles.
  11. I am going to do the F-101 and T-33, not sure about the contents of the F-100 sheet yet. Can't say anything on the timeframe, except I will do them at in 2013.
  12. Some early drafts for my Sikorsky H-34 decal sheet. Standard disclaimers apply: not all the stencilling and minor markings are there, there will be other markings (at least one each of US Army and Marines markings, and a USAF HH-34), and so on..As you can probably tell from the US Navy profile, there will be comprehensive stencilling as well.
  13. These decals have been sent to the printers last week. Here is the final layout of CD48029: I spent a lot of time tweaking the design and making sure the stencilling is accurate. Hopefully my design for the badge on the spine will work well on the Great Wall kit as well as it does on the Academy kit I tested it on. I will keep working on the 1/72 and 1/32 versions this week.
  14. I am definitely working on a series of ANG Phantom sheets for the next year. I think we talked about this in a previous thread. I am still collecting references, and will let everyone know when I have a date and put it on the release plan.
  15. The T-45 sheets have certainly been very successful in preorders and early sales. The first reviews/product announcements should be out next week. Hopefully you will like them. As I mentioned, I have put together a 1/72 T-45 sheet that contains a selection of schemes from these three sheets. It's time to bring out those old Italeri Goshawks and start building them - I will announce the sheet in a few days. A 1/32 version will most certainly come when Kinetic releases the 1/32 Goshawk.
  16. I have seen these and I have the Hawaii artwork almost ready (still need crew names); but I will wait until I sell a certain amount of ANG F-15 decals. The first F-15 sheet is selling, but it's not like it's flying off the shelves like the F-94C or T-45 sheets. Let's wait for a few months and see; I still want to do the remaining ANG F-15 operators including Hawaii.
  17. Updated the table. I will have hit my November goals if the 1/72 F-102 sheet gets back from the printers in the next two weeks.
  18. Is there a clear picture of the decal sheets in the kits anywhere?
  19. All three 1/48 T-45 Goshawk sheets from Caracal Models are shipping now. These were designed for the new Kinetic 1/48 T-45 kit. They are all printed by Cartograf; cover almost all interesting schemes ever painted on a T-45, and include two full sets of stencils each. Te first 300 orders also come with a bonus CoNA T-45 sheet which allows you to build both Centennial T-45 schemes. I still have 50-60 of these bonus sheets available. Note that these are not "in work" or "coming soon". They are already here, and they are shipping now. http://www.caracalmodels.com/cd48023.html http://www.caraca
  20. The third (and last) T-45 sheet is here as well, and I will start shipping it today. I now have three new decal sheets for the new Kinetic T-45 Goshawk. A mass e-mail announcing the general availability of these is going to go out soon.
  21. Thanks, the serial blocks are on the sheet. The drafts above do not show the majority of the stencilling. I will post updated profiles when the sheet goes to the printers sometime later.
  22. I am not sure about the grey scheme, but the camouflage scheme seems to use the same colors in the Asia Minor scheme used on their F-5s. (FS30400 / FS 30140 / FS34079 / FS 36622)
  23. Thanks - I don't know the names of all the pilots that will be portrayed on the MiG-29s, but the two American faces that I mentioned will be Merian Cooper and Cedric Fauntleroy. The Fauntleroy and Cooper MiG-29s will appear sometime before May of next year. Note: In addition to Feric and Pisarek jets, I saw the Krasnodebski (bort 15) and Urbanowicz (bort 40) and I think there are at least two more that have been painted.
  24. I have started shipping the T-45 decal sheets. There are a lot of preorders that I will need to ship, so please be patient as I send everything out within the next few days. All 200 free CoNA sheets have been taken by now; but I have 100 more sheets that I was planning to sell as part of a combo deal later on. I will include these in the deal and extend the free CoNA bonus sheet campaign to the first 300 preorders. So there are still a little less than 100 CoNA sheets available.
  25. The third (and final) T-45 sheet will also start shipping this Wednesday (November 14).
