  1. It looks like the image at the product page was generated from a pre-release version of the sheet; I will go ahead and correct this. As Tom pointed out the actual set has the serial number digits. The 1/72 version is laid out pretty much in the same way.
  2. Thanks, Dave - for once again showing the community what a class act you are!
  3. The Bf110E, O-1 and F-22 are still available - will post more later in the week.
  4. Thanks, Niels - these are great. I am expecting the Indiana ANG to repaint their newly acquired jets in the HG5 scheme as well. Then I will put together a new Dark Vipers sheet as soon as possible.
  5. I have the following lot of kits for sale. Will only sell as a lot, sorry. Buyer pays shipping, US and PayPal only. 6. Folks, I posted a new batch of design kits & other kits I had lying around. Priced to go, several with bonus decal sheets. Please help me out so I can clear up space for new kits and new projects.
  7. I have the following 1/48 and 1/72 kits for sale, some with bonus Caracal Models decal sheets. These are kits that I used to check decal designs, so some parts may be off sprues. But everything is included. Shipping not included - PayPal only. Get any Caracal Models decal sheet at a $2 discount when you order with the kits. Hasegawa 1/48 F-104C Starfighter (kit no PT19). Comes with bonus CD48202 (a $16 value). $20 Hasegawa 1/48 A-4M Skyhawk (kit no PT33). Comes with bonus CD48177 (a $14 value). $18 Dragon 1/48 Bf 110E Nachtjager (kit no 5566). $25
  8. No - it's from the classic Japanese comic series "Golgo 13"
  9. Wow - sorry, but things don’t move that fast. I am still working on the RF-8 and a couple other items with higher priority. I have drawn a few of the options but a full sheet is still some time away. There is also the issue of some of the aircraft being festooned with trademarked corporate logos - I am adopting a much more careful approach to these after some recent events and don’t know if I can include these.
  10. I am going to release a slightly reorganized and improved version of the CD48202 stenciling/national insignia sheet as a Basics item sometime in the next couple of months, so you can build multiple options from this and other F-104 sheets I offer.
  11. CD48233 (and CD72155) will have 17 marking options for various test, drone, and evaluation aircraft; including markings for NF-104 and JF-104 aerospace research jets. Some stencilling specific to these aircraft are included, and so are decal representation of various thrust ports etc. on the JF-104 and NF-104s. The set comes with the proven early USAF F-104 stencilling and national insignia that I used earlier in CD48202. Note that the sheet is missing the GE logo on "Queenie" (55-2969), which was used for GE engine tests for a while. I was not able to obtain a licence for the GE
  12. Interesting news - but I will go ahead and release the decals without waiting any longer, you already waited too long. The Hasegawa kit is dimensionally accurate and the decals should work for the new kit.
  13. I am almost done with this - should be able to post the final draft in a couple of days. 17 options on this one, covering a variety of subjects: Edwards test jets (both single-seaters and the two F-104Ds), markings for all three NF-104 and specific stencilling (also decals to portray the rocket engine ports on the nose, etc.), NASA JF-104, two China Lake Navy jets.. I think this will sell out fast, judging by how popular the NASA F-104 sheet was (reprint coming in 2024). 1/48 and 1/72 at the same time.
  14. I bought the AMT (Lindberg?) Snark and the 1/56 Bomarc kit from Amazon. Much to my surprise the Snark is a very big airframe. Not sure I can make a Cartograf-printed Snark decal sheet to work, but I will do more planning on this early next year.
  15. Wow - I wonder how many other decal makers get support like this. I appreciate the offers and will get back to you this weekend.
  16. These are great builds. I am very interested in the history of these missiles and still intend to do decals. However, gathering these old kits has been a challenge.
  17. Preorders are enabled - thanks!
  18. I have not posted anything yet - I will announce a product ID and post them soon.
  19. I will enable all preorders tomorrow and send the mass e-mail on Monday.
  20. Yes - that is the IFS site that we mentioned in the previous discussion, and it is the only source ever where these names are mentioned. Why anyone would name an aircraft "Slosher" is beyond me, while Slasher actually makes sense.
  21. For this option, I interpreted the color of the "Slasher No II" (*) arrow as a dark blue. Any ideas? Also, is the name "Slosher" or "Slasher"??? "Slosher" makes no sense to me, unless there is a piece of aviation slang that I am not familiar with. Wouldn't "Slasher" make more sense?? The only reference to "Slosher" is the IFS site, and European sites sometimes miss subtleties like this one. Are we sure that the name is indeed "Slosher", because the text looks like Slasher to me.
  22. I am working on this - it will probably take me a month or so to complete it. I will assign a product number soon. Thanks for the suggestion! I should set up a way to send me complete project suggestions like this.
  23. Thanks for the comments - I will definitely reach out to him and ask. i noticed that there are similar markings on later period QF-104 tails at the same location - sometime in the form of parallel stripes, always at a particular slant. Maybe this was some sort of visual aid to set the horizontal stabilizers at a specific angle before unmanned flight? Could this marking be just a stylized version to serve the same purpose? Then perhaps someone with aesthetic sensitivities just added it to the drop tank fins 🙂
