I just got my Kinetic T-45 Goshawk kit. It is not a test shot or early release; I just bought the regular kit from Lucky Model last week and paid for 3-day shipping. Upon a quick inspection, I agree that this is the best Kinetic kit so far. The panel lines and rivet detail are very good; and moulding is first rate. Overall dimensions look good according to the drawings that I have. The options provided in the kit are very comprehensive: there are separate front IP coamings and separate instruction panels for T-45A and T-45C. I like the level of detail in the cockpit, but there is cer

With the Osprey now in widespread service, I have been noticing more and more colorful Osprey schemes lately. The only decal sheet we had was the one from Flying Leathernecks, which has long been OOP. The Italeri 1/48 kit is still easily available, and I decided to work on a new decal sheet which will cover some of the newer MV-22 schemes and at least one CV-22. The only draft I have done so far is the VMM-163 color bird (BuNo 168011), but BuNos. 166736, 168019, 168025 and 168220 now have very interesting tail schemes and I will try to cover as many as possible. With all the stuff I have p

This is my third and final decal sheet for the new Kinetic T-45 kit. I will put up the preorder page this weekend. It should be available in the first week of November. CD48025 link The options are the commander's aircraft for the TW-1 reserve component (Salty Dogs) and VT-9 (Tigers). With these three sheets (CD48023/24/25), I believe I have covered most of the interesting schemes ever worn on a T-45. About the only special scheme that I will not be doing is the VT-22 "Golden Eagles" color bird (BuNo 167100). This is an excellent scheme, but I think three sheets (plus the CoNA bonus sheet

I have not forgotten this project, and it is still on track to be released in December as CD48027. It is still not complete, but here are some rough drafts of all the options. The bad news is that I had to remove the NASA option, but I promise it will come back on a later NASA-specific multi-subject sheet. The good news is I was able to squeeze everything else on the sheet. I think it covers the AV-8A/C pretty comprehensively; and hopefully we will see some of those early Harrier kits finally being built. Again, this sheet is still far from being complete; and there probably are a host of iss

I have received close to 40 preorders so far, so I'm sure anyone who preorders in the next two weeks or so will get the bonus sheet. If I have any bonus sheets left over, I will consider making them available for sale separately once the decals are here.

Hasegawa announced new CV-22 Osprey in 1/72 !
KursadA replied to AlCZ's topic in Helicopter Modeling
In fact, I am wondering if this played a role in Hasegawa's decision to make an Osprey. The opposition to having Ospreys at Futenma have been at the forefront of Japanese media for the last few months; and the Marines are making a lot of effort to emphasize the benefits of having the Ospreys there. I wonder if the new "Dragon" (ryuu) Kanji that appeared on the unit's Ospreys (This Osprey and others are coming soon on a future Caracal decal sheet for the 1/48 Italeri kit.) is part of the PR effort. Only one week or so left before these decals show up on my doorstep! I know many folks are waiting for aftermarket decals to build their Starfires. I am still working on the instruction sheet; and hopefully I'll be shipping in approximately ten days.

This doesn't make any sense at all! This doesn't look like something that the Russian government would allow. Russia always had excellent museums and took pride in its technological history and heritage. Could it be that the items they are destroying are spare or surplus aircraft with no historical significance? I can't believe they would be destroying historical prototypes.

That badge is the logo of Hamilton Standard, the manufacturer of the propellers. Just do a Google search for "Hamilton Standard" and you will find it, there are a few decal sheets of that logo as well. Most of the rest of your questions can also easily be answered with an image search as well; just search for C-2 photos on Google or Flickr and you will get answers.

Thanks for preordering. I'm getting more preorders than I expected; hopefully the pace will pick up as the kit gets closer to these shores. Coming back to the question-a couple reasons: - Making the CONA sheet smaller by relying on one of the regular sheets for stencilling decreases the cost by limiting the number of colors and area. - I would like to increase my direct sales by making the CONA sheet available only to those who preorder/order from me. As many of you who bought decals from me know very well, buying directly from me is pretty hassle-free. I have a very nice setup which allows

Woohoo! I placed my order earlier today.

The Kinetic T-45 kit is now shipping, and this decal sheet is available for preorder. Remember, the first 200 preorders will get a free, bonus CoNA sheet that will allow you to do both CoNA Goshawks!! Caracal Models CD48023 - US Navy T-45 Part 1

Just put the product page up - preorder link coming active soon.

It looks good so far! Why don't you post it here in ARC's in-progress forum, too?

Now that the Kinetic T-45 kit is shipping; I will enable preorders of my three 1/48 T-45 sheets (CD48023/24/25). These are all currently being printed at Cartograf, and the first one should be available within a couple of weeks. I expect all three to be shipping by mid-November. As I mentioned before, the first 200 preorders come with a free, Cartograf-printed CoNA (Centennial of Navy Aviation) bonus decal sheet which will allow you to build both CoNA T-45s. If you preorder 2, you get 2; and so on. I will set up the product pages and the order links as soon as I get home in a few hours; s

I agree, this does not seem to be a good match for FS14115. My estimate of FS14115 is based on color measurements I took from all of the recently published photos on a color-calibrated monitor. In some of the threads I read; Vallejo 969/970 are said to be better matches to this FS color.

Iraq has a huge oil wealth and and airspace to defend, so I don't see why they don't have a right to buy any kind of weaponry they can afford and operate. I don't see why Iraq can not successfully maintain and operate something like the F-16 or Mi-28, either.

Dragon'a 1/35 AK-47/74 family set can still be found cheap on Ebay and elsewhere; and it has a servicable PKM in it. I used one on my Turkish UH-60 build and was happy with the way it looked.

Hi Chris, The Kosciuszko unit badge has been painted on some Polish Mig-29s since several years ago, and a few companies have released decal sheets with this badge. The pilot portraits on the tail are very new though, they only started appearing this past summer. I don't think anyone else has announced these markings but even if they did; I wouldn't be concerned and I will bring my decal sheets to the market.

Werner's Wings Night Stalker Decals
KursadA replied to Floyd S. Werner, Jr.'s topic in Helicopter Modeling
Excellent advice! I am in the process of setting up my first Kickstarter project for a new (non-decal) product myself. -
Sprue Brothers has the 1/72 and 1/48 sheets. As I mentioned, the 1/32 sheet will not be ready before December.
