  1. My preference for F.S. 36231 "dark gull gray"? Well, I like to mix a batch of Model Master enamel F.S. 36231 and F.S. 36440 in equal parts and lighten even more with light gull gray when needed of course! Still have this ol' bottle in use.
  2. Hasegawa 1/72 F-14 with raised panel lines: Width of windscreen: 14mm Width of canopy front end: 16mm Width of canopy rear end: 14mm
  3. Not sure but the photos I have seen, including the Hasegawa Blue Angels special edition kit box photos, all have the inboard wing fences on the leading edge. The ones on the slats are gone though.
  4. Although the Hasegawa instructions say to remove the small leading edge wing fences on the closed slats (C1 and C2), the inner most ones on part B10, B11, and C5 (wing halves) appear to be there in photographs of Blue Angels single and two seat jets.
  5. There are attachment points on the canopy frame and rear canopy bulkhead. Will PM you my photos when I get around to it Pete. :P
  6. While you're at it, don't forget to fill all those rivets covering the whole kit too and rescribe the missing fuselage speed brake hinges. ;)
  7. Screen captures from different portions of this Blue Angels Skyhawk video found on YouTube:
  8. Black Box once made a cockpit set for both the Italeri F/A-18E and F. Fit was pretty good if I remember right. Not sure if the sets are available now under the True Details' brand but Squadron should probably have it listed. I've also seen them available on eBay and Amazon.
  9. Aw, c'mon. There's plenty on eBay. Especially this "F" which is a single seater apparently. LOL

  11. The work involved with this build was amazing. Loved seeing the in progress photos over the past year. Lots of work making it accurate! Glad to see it finally finished.

  13. See page 82. "This photo also shows the FLCS recorder mounted on the F-16C seat and front seat of the F-16D. It is not on the rear seat in the F-16D."
  14. Hobby Craft. I had a MiG-17PF in 1/48. :P
  15. There is this fella found in the Monogram F-102A kit: Also one in the Hasegawa 1/48 F-86 kit:
  16. I just did a test fit and the CFTs from the Revell F-15E fit pretty well with the Monogram F-15A/C fuselage. Some gap filling required.
